Default Help with broken pachislo machine.

    Hello,

New to this site. Wondering if you can help or direct me. Bought a broken used pachislo machine. The power supply light is green. Settings light is red. Reset power supply and odds. Still machine will not take tokens / accept credit. Any suggestions?

I would try cleaning the sensor with some rubbing alcohol and see if that helps.

I do not think it is thesensor. The Tokens fall into the token return shoot / front bin before theyreach the sensor. The coin mechanism electric magnet never engages. When Imanually move the token through coin mechanism, two LED lights flash on thedoor as it passes each sensor. Even when token passes sensor, machine does notgenerate a credit. Credit display does not even show a zero.

Will it spin after 3 tokens. I.E., will it accept 3 tokens, then tokens pass thru to coin tray...then spin if you tap the spin knob? Credit meter can be set for "cash" (for lack of better term) or "credit" In "cash" mode it will show "--" in the credit display. It will spin for 1, 2, or 3 tokens, unless a "MAX BET" machine. With no tokens inserted, press and hold the "cash out" button. The display should switch from -- to 00. When "00" is in the display...it is in credit mode.
Hopefully it was that simple! & to Pachitalk!

Look thru this reset procedure as it needs to be followed exactly. The coin mechanism will engage if all you need is a reset and everything else is okay.

I appreciate the suggestions. The machine will not acceptany tokens. Cannot tell if machine is set to “Cash”, “Credit” or "Max Bet". It isdifficult to see in the posted picture, but there is no number or dash - nothing atall in the credit display. I have followed the reset instruction exactly, butthere is no sound or click from the coin mechanism after the last step. Am I correct that the red light in the power supply picture refers to "Settings"?

The frame looks much like that of a Yamasa Spiderman, Ultraman or other pachislo that was re-branded. Some people do this when the LCD display has a problem or goes bad. I'm not sure what you have being I don't recognize the symbols on the reels in the distant picture.

With that being said and I have the Ultraman (in storage) I believe it was a credit only machine if memory serves me right. The max bet part is that you need to play three tokens or credits for every spin, unless you win a free spin. The cash mode that some machines have is that you spin after inserting one, two or three tokens as needed.

I see the all of the exterior blue lights are on in you first picture. Are these staying on or flashing all the time so far? If so then you might be stuck in a bonus or jackpot round.

Can you post some pics of the inside portion of the door with the area above and around the coin mech? Also an up close look of the reels. This may aid someone in helping to identify your problem.

    Also, Welcome to the group!

Thank you for the reply. Added pictures are better quality then the originals. There are no flashing lights. The lights that are on, stay one. If there are other lights, the bulbs are burned out or they stay off.

My mistake, that should have been the Sammy / Rodeo pachislot company not Yamasa. I'll try getting mine out tomorrow night to see if I can help any further if you don't get any resolution with yours.

With a quick search I am leaning towards your machine being a version of "My Sky" from 2006 by Rodeo. http://www.p-world.co.jp/machine/database/4076

Go to panel #3 under the picture at the website for this picture. Just an early guess as my eye sight is hazy these days and I cannot make out all the reel symbols on the P-World website. You might find original art on the bottom glass panel under the Vegas sticker.

Okay so for an early item in comparing my power supply to yours (which look the same) the red light for the settings should go out when you turn the settings key to the off position. You may want to open up the power supply to check the key switch to see if it or the wiring is damaged. You can replace the key switch with a simple toggled switch in most machines if you desire to do so.

I'll play for a bonus round and see if I can get it stuck in a loop like I suspect yours is being the blue lights stay on after powering up.

I am able to duplicate your scene where you have the exterior lights on and a "0" displayed in the wins spot at the top of your display after resetting the odds and my reset key is still in the "on" position. So I would look into the reset switch first.

Switch A.jpgSwitch B.jpg Switch. You are correct, machine is a version of"My Sky" from 2006 by Rodeo and I did need to repair the key switch. The setting light now goes off when I turn the key. I am able to play games, but there are a few issues. The speaker volume is extremely load and I am unableto locate volume control. Medals won instantly convert to credits. If I hit thesmall button left of the spin knob to cash out, nothing pays out, the machine exteriorlights turn blue with constant sound effects and HP appears in the win display. The only way to get the sound effect to stop is to turn the key backwards severaltimes which dispenses one token each time the key is turned. Is there a way tohave the machine pay out each time you win? While looking for the volumecontrol I noticed a small switch that does not seem to have any effect on thegame regardless of what setting (left, middle, right) it is in. Do you know whatthe purpose of the switch is for?

Usually there is a small slider switch on the sound board that changes volume from Loud-Louder-Ear Splitting. You can trace the speaker wires back to the board where they connected. The best option for sound is to install after market volume controls. You can find them on ebay and other places. I use L-pads for mine (Parts express), but to each his/her own. You can also stuff the speaker cones with socks, foam, cotton balls, etc.

Unlike American casino slots, medals to credits is how these work. It won't pay out medals unless the credits exceed 50. If you want it to pay out at every win, you need to get your medal count to 50 and insert 3 every time you want to spin.

Yep that looks to be the built in volume slide switch which typically does nothing. I know mine doesn't and like Ikaria I had added some volume controls. With the blue lights and sounds going then you are probably in a bonus round. You may be able to do a couple full resets to clear it or you might just have to play thru it.

I'm not sure on the HP code but seems to be related to the hopper. You might want to remove the hopper to inspect its wiring going to the power supply and that on the underside. Look for bent tokens or a lot of grime which will stall the hopper when paying out. A cleaning to the hopper parts could be all you need along with cleaning the sensor under the hopper. The button to the left of the spin knob should pay out all of your listed credits. This machine doesn't have a "cash" option like some others that pay out every winning spin. Having 400-800 clean tokens is good to have as well.
