Record for highest shipping through From Japan

So i just ordered 3 machines from From Japan. I've order maybe 20 machines in the last year and a half and the most I paid for shipping was on a lupin machine and it came in 2 boxes for $500. The latest machine i have coming is a Sammy Seven Deadly Sins I got on YJA. The cost of shipping for 2 boxes is... $1200 through FedEx! The other I have are $500 each through dhl and 700 through FedEx. I bought 2 machines a month ago and shipping was 300 each. Does anyone get why there is such a disparity in cost of shipping?? Has anyone else experienced such high rates? I'm legitimately thinking of flying to Japan myself to pick up machines for those kinds of costs!
