how did you spend your memorial day?

i decided to paint the case to one of my kids,, and now,, you can tell all the blonde you have,, lets hear them all, my hair is now black,, at least the ends that got stuck to the case,, oh and the case,, not quite what i had in mind,, but i decided i would wait till the drying time is over,, maybe i'll be a blonde by then,, but back to the case,, i used a 4 inch roller,, for smooth finishes,, the paint was interior, black semi gloss, as i read the directions it said to be used on wood or that dry flakey wood,, so i fiqured,, perfect,, well when i last looked it kind of had texture to it,, not smooth like i planned on,,well that was my day

it said semi gloss, not semi smooth.

i haven't tried painting a case yet.

i heard flat paint hides imperfections, semi or gloss paint brings them out.

I am having to work today from 6am to 6pm at the electric companies power plant so all you people can stay home and play your Pachislo and Pachinkos.
Today has not been to busy and I get time to get on internet(like I am doing now) on the company computer. I will be home in a while then I can play.

I've been here, been there. Playing my TWIST, saying goodbye to my BABEL (it is going to live with my brother in Erie, PA), drooling over a vintage T-Bird in the members pics thread (someday I will have one...I swear I will), eating subs from the new Quiznos that just opened around here and am about to go bowling with dear hubby and kids. All in all, a fun lazy day.

Ive spent the weekend planting bushes around the property. Red Burning Dwarfs & Rose bushes. The planting didnt take long but its been dry this year & the ground is really hard! Oh my aching back! My pasty white legs are burned a cinder & Im dehydated as a stick!
And on top of all that, I go out to water the fence line & as Im looking at one particular bush (actually theyre just sticks poking outa the ground at this point) but as Im looking at the shredded bark on top of the hole, it starts moving!? HUH!? I keep looking & it keeps moving! All around the hole it just sort of gently rises & lowers over & over.
MOLES!!! I hate them! They just dig up everything & I hate them for it! Before I mow the lawn I have to go around pushing the dirt down so I dont drive over them with my mower!
Other than that its been great!

Both my wife and myself are sick with some pretty nasty colds but took everything out of my daughters room. painted it, put up a border, put together a new bed, put togeter a new desk and started loading things back in. Other that that just spending time lounging when out daughter lets us and reading the posts here.

I would like to thank all the families of the veterans that gave their life so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have here. Words can never express the gratitude I have for those that sacrificed their life. God Bless!

Well we made the cemetery rounds yesterday so I have just been home playing on the computer, playing the pachi's, and smoking some ribs. The wife baked a cake so in about 30 minutes we are going to really chow down. Have a good one everyone!!
