actually I'm well over half way there i retired from real work when i went to septa if I'd known it was like this I'd have gone strait there when Budd closed (they called and offered me a job back then boy was that a mistake to turn down .......) I'd have had 20 years in by now .....instead i took the hard way but learned allot along the way .....

Up until my wife passed away last year, I was in Cooperate Retail Management. I started with Toys R Us. After 10 years decided to try other companies. My most fun was taking a company Ace Karaoke from the internet to actual retail stores. To this day they are using my 10 year plan to open 200 stores nation wide. I had to leave when wife got sick. So for about 6 months I drove buses for a local transit company since it allowed me to work and take care of her. It was actually fun. Now I run 2 part time businesses out of my home. globaltravelsales.com and richardslegalplans.com. I dont really need the money since I get survivor benefits, but I miss work. If all goes well kids will be in school soon and back I go. The hard part will be do I drive, or back to Retail.......I really liked driving. May upgrade my license and drive trucks.

In other words I setup the servers and networks that make websites work.

Lets see my job now is enjoying life after getting disabled in April 2003 and now 100% disabiled thru Socal Security Disabilaties Insurance and 80 % disabled thru the V.A. .

Now i volunteer at the Presidio of Monterey Museum and collect Pachi's and traveling aound the globe . Oh and Buggin people on chat sites .

I am the Regional Director of Books Digitization here in Toronto - UofT. I work for the Internet Archive http://www.archive.org and I basically run a huge center that digitizes various public domain texts and puts them online for the world to read...for FREE! to this day - my center has scanned and made available 123,000 books.

Well Let's see... My first job was at a Toys R Us where I worked what they called "Security". The job was basically to take tickets for games and and other expensive items from the customer, and bring them their item. I have worked as a warehouse manager for a small distribution company. I owned my own auto electric business; doing custom auto electric on classic cars and hot rods. Now I work for a large company as a Systems Hardware Engineer. I handle all of the hardware for the computer based products in our C.O.T.S. group. I must say; this is really a fun job... I get to play with hardware that most people won't be able to get their hands on for six months or more. I have been with the company going on eight years.

Ah well, I suppose it's my turn... I started out as a recording engineer (most major studios in Hollywood), then telecine colorist (film to video transfer), then audio/video compressionist (probably encoded several DVD's in your collection), then manager of encoding operations, and now audio/video R&D at a major studio.

I am a videographer for live music, music videos, commercials, independent film and documentary work. I do all the wiring for CHW Guitars including designing the custom wiring setups for special orders. I also do computer repair, counter help at CHW Guitars and help at Ranch Records.
