Default Shooting mechanism slow to " warm up "

I've never purchased or played a modern pachinko machine, so I'm a little unfamiliar with the operation. I found one for a decent price, but the seller said that the machine takes about 20 minutes to warm up before it will shoot balls. I wondered if this was normal for an early 90s machine or if I should stay away.

    Thanks.

It's not normal, I've got 4 early 90's machines and they all shoot balls immediately when turned on. Maybe post some pics of it and someone who is familiar with the machine might know more? (Some machines have shooters/parts more easily available than others). I would try to get a problem free pachinko for your first one however. I would hate to see a problematic pachinko sour your first pachinko experience.

Thanks for the quick response. I only have vintage machines so I have no reference for exactly how moderns should work. Maybe I'll try to talk the price down even more.

Sounds like something is wrong with the motor or something? Definitely doesn't seem normal to me.

Since it is one of the "Early Moderns " The Capacitor on top of the shooter motor could be "Leaking " and needs replacement .

Thanks for all the input. I decided not to purchase the machine, even after taking it down a bit. Not worth the risk to me, especially since I don't really have any experience with the modern machines. I'll keep looking.

Sensible option, unless you had a spare or identical frame. Not worth the risk if no experience in electronics
