    Default Batman Pachislo 2014 Electa

I took a chance and imported this machine from Japan. I assumed it needed a transformer. The machines label states it is the typical 100 volt for Japan. I bought a power volt transformer and spliced it in the power cord. When I plug it in the transformer, hums quietly. Nothing lights up on the machine. Yes, I flipped the internal power switch on and still nothing. When I read the sellers translated description, it states some models come with a transformer. I can't tell if there is a transformer in the box with the power switch on it. Should I remove the power volt transformer and plug it in or am I at risk to fry the boards? Any suggestions/advise would be very much appreciated.

on such a Handsome machine . Now the tough work follows how skilled are you with Pachislo power supplies ?

The Power Supply inside the Pachislo needs to be open and the 100vac >24 vac Factory Transformer Inside Needs to be Replace with your New 120 v ac > 24 v ac Power Transformer . Good luck with the conversion and Please , please be careful .

Or you can keep the power supply Inside the Pachislo and just get this

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Goldsource-S...YAAOxyUrZSxkwS

just plug your Pachislo into one of the 110 v ac outlets and you should be good to go .

I am no pachislo expert...nor am I that good with electronics. Here is what I am thinking...Japan voltage is 100 VAC, USA voltage 120 VAC. Seems like most problems happen when a machine that is 24 volts (typically alternating current, if I'm not mistaken) and is plugged into household current. OR plug a 100 VAC Japanese transformer is plugged into 220 volt mains..
I agree with Clam...what does the data plate say?
If it is 100 VAC, you should be able to plug it into US current. We are 20 volts more...but seems to be within tolerance. We are 60hz, and everyone else is 50hz...not sure even what that means!
Take a pic of the data plate and post it. And before I forget...to pachitalk!

The machine is made by Eleco. Eleco machines haven't required a separate 24 volt transformer for many years.

The oldest Eleco machine I have is a Babel machine, made in 2002 and it has no separate 24 transformer. Same with Sinbad Adventures, made in 2004. They are made to just be plugged into the wall outlet.

You should be able to plug it directly into the wall outlet.

I hope you are correct that I can just plug a100 volt machine into a 120 volt power source without instantly or slowly frying the boards. Before I do that, here is some additional information. The tag reads 100 volts, 23 amps, 115 watts, 50/60 Hz. To complicate things further, the translation of the Japanese seller's description states that some models contain a transformer. There is no model number on the machine. So I opened the power source box with the power switch on it and I took the attached picture. It appears to be a transformer integrated into the circuit boards so I can't simply swap it out with a 120 to 100 volt transformer. Based on this additional information, do you suggest simply plugging it in the wall or do I need a step down converter from 120 to 100? Thanks again for your suggestions. I can't wait (hopefully) to play this machine.

If it was my machine, I would feel comfortable plugging it into the wall outlet.

If you are not comfortable plugging it in, then you need to get a converter.

    Several to choose from. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page...ge%20converter

I have the older Elecos as well. I plug them straight into a power strip. The Strike Witches machine I just got is 100VAC so that one is plugged straight into 120VAC. My Bisty Eva is the only one I own that requires a 24VAC transformer.

So I am happy to report my Batman Eleco pachislo is alive and well without any transformer installed.

I have a game play problem. There is an amazing Joker Battle possible in the game but after hundreds of plays over 3 years, I have never got it. I suspect it may be a settings issue.

Also, there are Bane, two face and riddler battles which I have never won.

Is there a play guide available? Even in Japanese which I can translate with google translate?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Wayne-Ooo. I do have the promotional brochure you kindly provided link to. Here is a link to a video showing the Joker battle I am trying to get: https://youtu.be/2rcNxF1bmQk

The video also reveals there is a setting for an automatic reel stop as opposed to my setting which requires me to push the three reels individually. I have seen the former referred to as a commercial or parlor setting. Does anyone know how to set the game to commercial?

I once read that if you have the odds set to the highest setting (highest chance of winning - 6) the machine is less likely to play certain videos and bonuses. Which is why a lot of us set them at level 3 or 4 .That saying. Every now and then. A machine I have played for years will suddenly play a new bonus completely by chance.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try at level 3. Seems counterintuitive but worth a try.
