Having a more than one machine fit is preferable, but not an absolute.

Currently I am working on a Daiichi slide in shooter module and Nishijin Type A leaf switches

    Future possible projects include

Nishijin Type A track cover in plastic instead of metal
More Type A rear covers since I have already generated 3 other components for the Type A
    Maruhon seesaw area dust cover
    Maruto replacement ashtray

I apologize for not posting anything here in over 6 months. I've created quite a few parts since the last post, This thread is old and long, and covers a lot of material that is outdated by now. With the Admin's blessing I am going to start a thread dedicated to just posting 3D part files and instructions. My experience with Thingiverse is there are only a handful of actual machine parts for Pachinko's and my library of parts dwarfs that.

Instead of posting my stuff there, I am going to start building a 3D parts library on this site instead... a "Pachiverse" of parts I guess.

Hello, i recently purchased a Sanyo machine with Comet II innards.
It is almost done being cleaned up and reassembled.
It only needs a jackpot flapper which has snapped off.
I was wondering if this is a machine that you might have to be able to make the file for this part.
I would be willing to send a donation for the help.

    Thanks,
    Rich

I do not have a comet II, but that may not matter. Do you have a picture handy of the broken part you can post?

It is this part, I melted a pin into it and it's working for now. Haha

I can make a drawing using educated guessing and prior experience to produce something close. But, a couple pictures with a measuring scale next to the part to gauge sizes would be helpful. Then there may be a little trial and error phase, but I'm willing to give it a try if you would prefer my attempts over your successful modification.

OR...If you took the part off and sent it to me, I could put my calipers on it and make an exact duplicate.

Hey sorry, I was busy for a while and then it was a pain to take the part off because of where it is located. I think I got all the measurements labeled. all are MMP_20230919_195746_1.jpgP_20230919_195926_1.jpgP_20230919_200013_1.jpg

I've printed 2 copies so far and I have a question.
I printed the first copy with all your measurements, with the hole at the top of the load lever that slides over the pivot shaft shown as being 2.25mm in dia.
This results in a small hole that doesn't fit on any pivot shafts that I have.
    cometdrawingannotated.jpg

On the second copy I printed with the same hole increased to 2.4mm. It looks more appropriately sized and now slides snugly over a playing field nail. Can you check your broken part by sliding it over a playfield nail and see how it fits?

oh wow that was quick! Even if that hole isn't large enough i could drill it.
I just have zero knowledge of cad software. i tinkered with one for over an hour and couldn't get a single line in the field.
Yes it seems to fit on one of the nails, i should have measured the pin not the hole perhaps. The actual pin that inserts is 2mm... Field pins are 1.85mm

Ok, I increased the hole size to 2.5mm and have the part printed out and ready to send to you. PM me your address and I'll get it going.

Here is the file if you want to print it yourself, I forgot you had the 3D printer already.
I used PETG for more durability.

The amount of stuff you can do on a 3d Printer is amazing, my mum has one "she doesn't know how to use it I do all that stuff" I just wish I could get my head around the software that I can design my own stuff, mainly her doll house stuff "her Hobby" Is all online..

I find it enjoyable to see things that didn't exist before materialize on the build plate of the printer. I use the fairly simplistic CAD software at TinkerCAD.com. It is surprising what you can do by placing basic geometric shapes in just the right position. It takes a bit of visualization to "see" the part in your head and then get the various shapes to match....the process ends up being that you are "assembling" every part you make from the build plate up.
    Take for example this drawing

Cometloadleverupper.jpg There are 14 components to this part of the drawing -
    - the orange cylinder at the top
    - the hole in the cylinder
    - there are 5 flat red plates - the big flat plate, a small one between the the big plate and the cylinder, then three plates for the other parts
    - the hole in one of the red plates
    - the 6 curved "unseen" parts that make the corners of the plates rounded instead of sharp corners.... (getting into next level stuff there lol)

Here is the drawing with all the parts in different colors
    part drawing.jpg

The curved tail is the "heart" shape with a second copy right next to it

    3dparts.jpg

but the second shape is changed to a "hole" type of object.
    3dparts2.jpg

When saved together you end up with a slice of the original part and the "hole" part removes the rest, then more "hole" shapes are used to further carve out this parts notches etc.
Then this part is slid into place with the others and they are are all "Grouped". Once grouped, the "hole" parts disappear and the other parts become one assembly.

    3dparts3.jpg

As you can imagine positioning parts is key but I enjoy creating these drawings... and burn some time doing it .

I have checked out more sophisticated software like Fusion 360, where you can point at a corner and tell it to round it off automatically; but the learning curve is steep and I haven't invested the time learning it yet.
