Default Yamasa Pink Panther error sounds when turned on

    Hi friends.
I've been a member for a while...always lurking in the shadows and searching for answers to any Pachislo problems that my machine might have. Thank you for the answers that I have found.
I now have a specific problem that I can't find an answer to...
Every time I turn on my Yamasa Pink Panther machine, I get the error sound ("Bee Doo Bee Doo Bee Doo" - exactly like that like Minion fireman) - without any error code being displayed. I open the front door, push the red reset button, the sound stops and the machine plays normally with no further problems...every time.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks!

From what you are describing, it sounds like the capacitor that holds a charge and retains the games memory, between the time the machine is powered Off to being powered back On, is no longer holding a charge.

It is not uncommon, especially on older machines, for this to occur. There aren't schematics for these machines and finding exactly which capacitor is preforming this task is rather hard to determine. So, the simple solution is to just do a soft reset each time you power the machine On. Kind of an inconvenience, but not really.

    Excellent.
    Thanks Wayne.
Then that's what I will do. Like you pointed out - it's really not a hassle.
(By "soft reset", you mean to continue what I am doing...just pushing the red reset button, yes?)

Turning the Door Key to the left may also reset your machine. If not, then just push the red button.
