Well its finally here and unpacked and spent a few hours (cough cough) testing Making sure everything works.

Pretty generic back of the machine, This came with additional volume controls.

    DSC05818.jpg

Although there is a board missing that is for the battle counter connections as it should plug in here. Its not really that important (yet)

    DSC05819.jpg

Fruit Scandel because the playing field is a banana, some grapes and a pair of melons

    DSC05811.jpg

Yes and the banana does work

    DSC05813.jpg

Actually this is a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be.
The banked spin indicator is Nao's name in kanji, then below the screen there are 3 hearts that during certain bonus rounds act as the reel numbers.

The animated background varies location as you play with different background music and reach music, so it doesn't suffer from Star Wars Syndrome.

To go along with the themes.

Office (OL), School (Teacher), Hospital (Nurse), Beach (Bikini) and Wardrobe (Outfits for the rest)

As we all know there is nothing as exciting as a women looking for clothes These can actually lead in to a reach. So its good for us guys to be patient.

There is also a little pop up charactor that either gets squashed by a film crew or assists and these gives hints to up coming reachs and bonus.

If when the reel numbers stop, they are flashing, you get the chance for jackpot or bonus round, or continue normal play by spinning the roulette wheel.

This is done by a (ahem) Nao bunny girl, As per most pachis, if the clothes are different colours, then you have a higher chance of winning.

If you get the bonus (I have yet to get Ootari) you get to see the animated Nao on a jet ski. For this you have to shoot the right hand side of the playing field and get it balls in the RH tulip. This is when the Red heart LEDs start to work as reels.

So you've played through the bonus, hit an extended reach and got ootari, Now what. well I haven't got 777 yet, but a few others,
You get to select one of four songs sung by Nao (I guess) before Round 3 starts, This then plays through out the rest of the rounds. With selected video clips of Nao in her different costumes. The songs are (with original artist name but not sung by)

    Material Girl - Madonna
    Physical - Olivia Newton John
    Hot Stuff - Donna Summer
I'm In The Mood For Dancing - The Nolans

When you get to about round 9 you have a mini game using the chance button.
    So far I've had,

    Shoot down the spaceship,
    Count the fish.
Stop the stopwatch between 5.5 and 6 seconds.
    Cup and ball shuffle.

If you complete the task or fail, it changes what kind of bonus follows at the end of the ootari.

As for Jr, I haven't played it in front of him as although it doesn't show any nudity, it is rather suggestive, with chest and stocking tops. So I shielded him from it

Its certainly a lot of fun to play

Ok, Now when I brought this machine in Japan. It was cyclic. Which makes testing it a breeze, how ever it does seem to hurt its resale value. So this weekend, prompted by comments in another thread. I though it was time to convert it back.

Lucky for me, The mods done on this machine weren't to bad. Unlike another Heiwa frame that I have and really need to do something with as the balls keep jamming and not recycling.

    DSC06404.jpg

Once I got the cel out. you can see the plastic that was cut and added to redirect the balls.

    DSC06405.jpg

    DSC06406.jpg

Spot the strange dull gold thing just beneath the locating screw...
Half a cockroach I didn't declare that to customs

Here is the bottom half of the payout chute, from after the payout motor. Includes the ball path for the ball dump as well.
Can see the added plastic and the centre square section of chute cut away.

    DSC06407.jpg

Here I have the added section removed to get a clear view of what happens. The big hole in the middle right is the payout chute.. The hole between the black and blue sections of plastic is where the waste balls go.
The ball dump is meant to go over the payouit chute and then down the back in the waste ball chute

    DSC06408.jpg

Here I have glued into place a new piece of plastic to replace the section cut out. I also used 2 sections of L profile plastic to box in the payout chute.
For some reason my camera goofed up that image.

    DSC06409.jpg

So its all back together. Just hope to test it tomorrow and run a few thousand balls through it. Now where is my spare daverob dongle

I ran over 1500 balls through the payout system and played for about an hour without any issue
