IGT Dance Night: Cable to Gorgeous Time bulb

Hi,

my name is Michael, i am from germany and new in this forum. My english is not so good, but i hope you understand me.

I usually collect pinball-machines, but now I have buy my first pachislo (IGT Dance Night). When clean, I noticed a cable that is not connected. It is a black/white cable with a 2-pin-connector. On the other end is the bulb for the Gorgeous Time light.

Can someone tell me where the cable must connected? Thank you !

Hmmmm something doesn't seem quite right there.

Why is there a bulb taped into place and not in a proper housing. I think someone in the past has been messing with the machine.
(I don't have this machine so can not double check) For me, I would test the 2 top bulbs in the correct housing (Probably blown) the follow the wiring from the board and see where it goes, I suspect, someone in the past could get the right bulbs so taped that small bulb in there. If you find where it was powered from before, You might find your answer.

Bremen is a lovely town. I went there about 20 years ago and performed a modified version of Hamlet on stage there as part of a Europe wide celebration.

I don't think it's a bulb, it might be a sensor. Some games have different modes and the only way to sense that for the battlecounter is to place a light sensor near the light that lights up when this mode is active (Light light light! ). It was placed there by either the parlor or an individual owner and I'm 99% sure it can be removed without any problem.

Does the top bulb in the group of three light up ever?

If you watch the video for this game during Gorgeous Time, the top and bottom light alternate.

The bulbs are ok, they light alternate, when the Gorgeous Time start. I think compirate are right, it looks like a sensor. But when I can not connect the connertor, it makes no sense. Or is this part always installed and is used only in some pachislo?

By this way: This is my first Pachislo and there is a lot of fun.

Excellent. If its a light sensor, it would then somehow connect to something like a data counter. Mounted above the machine. or where a previous owner had it. Its an optional extra
