Sound/LCD issue Ore No Sora

Today I picked up a "Fortune Wheel" which is a disguised Ora No Sora from Trademark. Allegedly it is 3 months old and the guy I got it from one it at a charity event. It was in the box. Everything looked good but it had no sound. He said his daughter turned it off because it was annoying her. This sounded odd as I hadn't seen a mod to silence a machine but I took overlooked it and took the machine. It was a barter for some old speakers, no big investment.


I got it home and immediately followed the guide to see if I could get the LCD hooked up. I followed all the instructions to a tee but alas I only get a red screen after it powers up. I read EVERY post here I could find about this frame and here's where I am.


1) if I disconnect the ribbon cable from the video board to the LCD I get a NO SYNC message, so looks like the LCD is "good"


2) If I disconnect the "video connector" on the right side the monitor just comes up Black.


3) when i power up the machine I get a POP from the speakers, the screen is white, then changes to a solid red.


4) machine appears to play fine, done a couple resets but have NO sound and just the red LCD.


I've checked all connectors, reseated the gold ribbon cable 3 times and no joy. Given the red LCD and no Audio I'm guessing that the whole Video/sound board "above" the monitor is shot. Anyone have any other thoughts?


Any chance I'll get Trademark to step up because of the alleged age of the machine and the sound issue? I'd really love to get her up and running.

The only 'Ore No Sora' Pachislo models I know of are the 2006 one (by Rodeo?) and the Sammy one from 2010 (of course there could be others that escape me)

I don't know who 'trademark' is, could it be the importer or the company responsible for 'customising' it?

If you could upload some pics, then perhaps the members could help identify it properly for you?

im not sure where machines like these are converted at but it is quite common for them to get stickers over the glass like you describe... there usually stickered to cover a broken / non working screen.. there is talk about members pealing the stickers and the machine working fine.. others found dead screens.. best of luck to ya..

if your thinking "trademark" will warranty the machine im afraid your probably out of luck.. these machines are from a secondary market and getting someone to work on them is nearly impossible, replacement it is ultra rare.. especially since you got it from a private party..
