    Default Tube Bulb

I have Net's, Julien and Domino.
Does anyone know where to get the belly bulb for these?
They are very thin flourescent tubes. (about the thickness of a pencil and 14 1/2 inches long).
    Thanks

This site will likely have any bulbs you need, too. The below link will take you to a belly glass fluorescent, but if that isn't the one you're looking for use the Visual ID or Product Search to find your specific bulb.

Since we are on the light bulb thing here. Is there a place to buy the standard #400 bulbs (the ones most machines use) besides the Ebay vendors? I have many customers that ask me where they can get them locally if one burns out.

I asked at Radio Shack and got the big "Ahhhhh No!"

    RK-

I know where to get them in bulk (thanks for the info). My question was more geared to my buyers (customers). Some have asked me where to get bulbs if they burn out. The last thing I want to do is send them to my competition (of machines). Plus they would only need one or two at a time. I am looking for a place (say Lowes for example) where they could go and buy a single (couple) bulb(s).

I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who can't seem to find these things. These are the same bulbs I asked about in the 'Bellco Bulbs' post a week or so ago except mine are a few inches shorter. (No lewd comments! )

So far I haven't found any local sources and the supplier catalogs have nothing even close to similar. I'm going to check out some of the lighting sources that have been posted here, but I'm kind of hoping that these bulbs just don't burn out that often; especially since my new Kiwame has four little fluorescents around the upper reels (at least I think that's what they are, they're hard to get to).

As for the wedge base bulbs I have found an interesting solution... Radio Shack in their crappy parts drawers have a few flashlight bulbs. If you get the #194 bulbs they actually work in some machines. NOTE OF WARNING!!! These are only 14V bulbs, but have a good enough current rating to be able to work. However, they burn brighter than they are supposed to, so they will burn out quicker. They also produce a lot more heat, so some common sense would be required to not put them inside a tight plastic compartment (i.e., melting). In a pinch they work great, though. And for a little over $1 for a pack of 2, who can complain? You shouldn't leave your machines on when you're not there anyway. :-)

Good luck and keep us posted on 'regular' stores to buy bulbs.

    cmk

the coldcathodes from elwirecheap.com are 12 v .. you need a12 v power source to run these lights . I used a 12 v iomega power addapter and wired them . As for the kiwame coldcathodes around the upper reels they are 2 L shaped coldcathodes I dought that you will ever find them but good luck .. coldcathodes last about 20,000 hours on average . if your kiwame upper reel lights do burn out try 2 4 inch coldcathodes from elwirecheap.com . put one ontop and one on the bottom
