    Smile Pachislo Counter

The original idea was from member Wayne-Ooo to use a GAKU counter for pachislo. There may have been others...

Member scooby53 was nice enough to commission me to make a similar counter that was more set up for his particular use in a REAL arcade setting.

One of the goals was to save the tokens in and tokens out in non-volatile memory. This information is saved automatically on the Arduino's EEPROM, every time the tokens in or tokens out is incremented by 50...

Here are some pictures and a video of the prototype...
Arduino based with the same sensors used as the GAKU counter.

If anyone wants another video or pics of how the machine is set up I'll post em or send them to Carl to post.

Just a thought, especially as it is working, would it not be easier to just connect the 2 sensor inputs to the data counter token in/out socket. It's a standardised output that should be the same on all machines, that way if you choose to sell them, it's just plug in and go, not trying to install sensors in the token path. Although I don't know the way it works but it is tokens in the bank as well. Rather than physical tokens in and out.

You are correct with the in/out on pins 1 + 2. Those pins will tell you the actual tokens that were played in the machine but the out is the amount that was won. If you received a replay or 9 points during a bonus they will count that as a win. For every replay it would click 3. We want to know the ACTUAL tokens in and out. 1 sensor on the coin slide while the other on the hopper. If you put 50 tokens in and when done playing pushed the button and received 3 tokens and walked away the. The machine made 47 tokens. It will be interesting what these mavhines real payout values are.

I had a difficult time with google translation. Are any of the standardized output pins a power (voltage) supply? What volts?

I see the common and guess that is negative or ground.

    Thanks.

But a replay is still part of the payout odds. Depending on the odds setting, I would guess that the replays are more frequent at some settings and less at others.
