    Default Noobie from Chicago

What's up guys. When I was a kid my dad bought a pachinko machine it sat in the basement for 35-40 years or so. I now have kids and would like to get this thing running. Can anyone recommend someone possibly in Chicago area who might restore them? Thanks. Here is pic of my machine. sorry for the sideways pic. Used my phone to post this

we have a few members that do restorations... im sure someone lives in that area.. but i have never kept exact track of who lives where..

im sure someone will be allong shortly with advice.. on who is where...

nice machine.. IMHO It does not look like it needs a restoration.. probably a good cleaning but not restoring...

    and of course

thanks. It has not been used very much. I lost the balls for it so long ago. I know those can be bought but maybe a good cleaning would do the trick. You know more about this then I do so can you tell me anything about it? Is it a common machine?

Vintage pachinko does sell restorations manuals for these machines for $15. They are not real hard to work on and and can be fun to see how everything actually works. Here is the link http://www.vintagepachinko.com/servl...ion/Categories.

    to Pachitalk!

Do you want it restored or repaired? Restored would be taking the thing completely apart and cleaning and replacing parts (typically rather expensive.) And the closest people to you are either myself or member Rival who runs Pachinko Planet. If you want to get it just repaired which would be cleaning it slightly and getting everything to work; member CarlW might be able to help you. He lives in Aurora so its a little closer than us in Indianapolis.

    once again welcome to PT.

you have what looks to be a nice looking daiichi machine.. mid 70's..

Daiichi is where i started my personal collection so i have a soft spot for them...

Balls are easy to get on das-bay..

common machine??? yes and no.. nishijin machines are way more common... but your machine is nowhere near "rare"

if ya post a few good pictures of the back we should be able to tell ya its condition..

    any other specific questions??

Welcome to PachiTalk and thanks for posting a picture of the machine. I like the looks of the Daiichi machines from this time period a lot, although I don't own one yet. That may change soon if the seller of one locally sends me some photos of the back of the machine.

Thanks guys. I will take more pics on wednesday when I'm there again. I guess a good cleaning would be all that is needed. I'll take better pics and more of them. I do not have the barrel key for the glass door but that's the least of the problems

This is what opens the glass door not a key

    American Eagle BII door.jpg

The key was used for servicing the machines inthe cabinets at the pachinko parlors, its not needed now as the back is open.

I don't see anything missing. Even got all the covers and an uncracked tray. That is hard to get. (doesn't mean its worth more).
