Brand New and Need Help

Hello, I'm brand new to the pachislo world. I bought my first two machines earlier today. I think these will be great additions to my man cave and I know my daughter will have a blast with them. What I am looking for now is any and all information I can find out about these machines. Neither came with any keys and I only have 20 total tokens. I have attached a photo of both machines. Thank you all for your help.

looks like you have a nice starter pair there..

your going to need at least 500 tokens for each machine.. and keys will be something your going to need soon.. geting the machine open for you you can reach up threw the bottom the the case and open the door.. (dont tip the machine over just spin it on a table so ya can reach up..

to be honest i think having something like 700 to 1000 or more tokens will be better for ya.. if ya get it oppen sometims people find the keys inside.. if not the odds lock can be changed to a toggle switch with out much trouble..

Thank you. Both machines are easily opened as it seems the previous owner(s) drilled a small hole in the side where you can lift the lever with your finger.

I have been able to find a little information about the Ward of Lights machine but have no clue where to start for the other machine as there is no English written on it anywhere.

Where would be a good place to buy tokens? Do they need to be magnetic/nonmagnetic?

Again thank you so much for the help! I feel that I'm stepping into a new hobby that I'll love and my wallet (and possibly wife) will not. haha

the first one is an early model named Hanabi, they are both made before year 2000

when you get the doors open you can shim the door locking bar with a folded piece of cardboard or wood so it will stay unlocked

Just a quick follow up on this thread:

I was taking a trip yesterday down to my cabin in Sugar Pine. As I frequently do before a little road trip, I scan the Craigslist ads to see if their is anything of interest for sale along the way. I found an ad for a Nile Panic and found only a single video on YouTube on the machine. It looked interesting and it was on the way, so I made contact with the seller and stopped by. He and his wife had purchased the machine a year ago but could not operate it. In fact, they could not get inside the machine. The lock had been drilled out and it was stuck in the odd setting mode.

I accessed the the door latch from underneath, opened it, installed a new lock, showed them how to do a reset and then how the machine worked. They seemed very thrilled to get it going and I told them I wasn't going to purchase the machine. (They'd obviously never played it)

Turns out he joined our forum last year to see if he could resolve the problem. Post #6 above. powerstringer2
