Just a suggestion, but you can try searching completed auctions on eBay for Bagatelle games. That should give you an indication of what they sell for. That's how I usually determine value of something I am planning to either bid on or sell.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

+1 with Jacksje4. However this one may be worth a little more because it has the original box and push stick. I doubt the steel ball is original. Most games of that era used solid colored glass marbles, usually white or black.

    Good luck.

I didn't even realize I could search completed auctions. Great info.

Yeah. Next to the search button you will see advanced. Click it then in the second section you will see Completed Listings, click it and then type what you are looking for in the search box at the top of that page. It is really easy and very handy.

I bought a Lindstroms Gold Star bagatelle game awhile back on the 'Bay. Lindstroms gold star 002.jpg I think I paid around $55 including shipping. No box...but it did have instructions!Lindstroms gold star 006.jpg Lindstroms gold star 005.jpg Not sure what year mine is...but the one you are looking at is clearly older...and has the original box! Well...no one knows that the box is the original box. however, if the original box was gone...it is VERY UNLIKELY that a similar box that matched the game would be found! So, I am sticking with, ORIGINAL BOX. As far as collecting goes, that is a big plus! Often times, the box of a collectible is worth MORE than the collectable itself, because they get thrown away, and therefore more rare than the collectable itself!
SO...what is it worth? The one for sale is WAY older than mine, and has a box! If you like it...the price seems reasonable...much higher, and i would pass!

I have seen a couple of the Gold Star games listed on eBay. They have great colors and I really like the graphics. I have considered bidding on one, but thought I might find one close enough to home to avoid the shipping. The game I posted is very plain, but there was something about it that really drew me in. Maybe the Corinthian Master brand reminded me of Ricardo Montalban pitching Corinthian leather car seats. My brain works in strange ways. I haven't made a bid yet, but may do so as the auction gets closer to closing. Thanks for the feedback.

I forgot to state that the Goldstar shoots the ball around the outside oval, then on the way back up...it makes a figure 8 at the chrome triangles at the middle. Look at the pic and it will make more sense! Most of the chrome on mine is loose from the nail holes being worn out. I have told myself that I would fix that...but I haven't. I haven't found a glass marble the right size and weight to function properly. That is not a problem for me. I plan to hang it on the wall of my game room and not play it!
