Default New guy needs help and advice on Nishijin Modern/Vintage?

    Hi All
I'd like to restore the machine to it's original design. Anybody have any extra parts laying around they want to sell (if that's what it takes), to make this machine work like it's supposed to?
I cannot find a Model name, other than possibly "S-718", printed at the bottom center of the play area.
I'll try to post some pictures...
Please, holler back if you can enlighten me with more info, and the strategies involved to max this game out.

I'll try to post some pics...IMG_7605[1].jpgIMG_7601[1].jpgIMG_7604[1].jpgIMG_7595[1].jpgIMG_7580[1].jpg
    Thanks, Dave

You have a Nishijin deji-pachi machine there, and a very popular one from the early 90's, named 'Asa-O'
It's a mahjong theme and it was a huge hit in the parlours back in old Japan.

    This is it: 麻王のパチンコ攻略情*ならまんさいパチ& ス*

I don't think it's worth fixing because of the difficulty and cost of getting parts and knowledge to do so (you could probably import one into the States for half what you'd spend), but that's just me... YMMV.
There is always another machine around the corner...

close up pictures are great but in this case a wider shot of the machine may help...

the white tube at the bottom is someones attempt at making the machine cyclic / semi cyclic..

the screen shows the word "ERROR".. are there board missing from the back??

    do yo have a frame??

what exactly happens when you power it up??

    and of course

Thanks for the info candyflip! And thanks for taking an interest to help me out Mopar!
Ok, here's what happens... The machine starts up just fine. When I drop a ball into the "Start" hole, the display starts spinning three reels of symbols. When you match three of them, the music changes, you get all of the lights flashing, and then a cartoon gal appears with a sign saying "Round 1". Then the girl reappears with her shirt off, wearing a bra. Then, instead of returning to play mode, the blue screen pops up saying "ERROR", with a very alarming audio alarm that won't go away until I turn it off.
Since I only have 5 balls at this time, I was able to close the contacts on the low ball switch for the top ball tray, but that didn't make any difference.
Is there possibly another switch that needs to be activated that might be causing the ERROR?
Where can I get the best deal on 500 balls?
Does anybody here have a parts machine that would sell me replacements for the cobbled parts?
A close up picture of the inside, looking up from the bottom at the dark green ball return box would be helpful, so I know what it used to look like before the modification.

there is a door just below the screen, when you get a fever you have to get at least 2 or 3 balls in that pocket everytime it opens each round to keep from erroring out

Ebay is a good place to get balls with resonable shipping

Seems to me you may just have an insufficient number of balls and the error relates to the machine being unable to make a payout.

Can you post a photo showing all the back of the machine? I may have a machine of the same year model with a bad LCD display but it works, I was going to part it out.

Certainly looks like a cyclic conversion, if you can't get the parts, epoxy plastic filler and sandpaper will be your greatest friend. I've done it to some newer frames.
