Default What happens if you manually turn the reels?

Will it do harm if you manually turn one or more of the reels? Will it take it out of sequence or will it recalibrate once turned on so it doesn't matter what you turn and/or how much? The machine is a New Pulsar...I am trying to figure out how to replace the reel paper with a custom without messing anything up!

Just be sure to line up those new reel strips that you're putting on.
Mark the reel cage somehow... either a marker or a scribe.
They need to go on so that the strips match up with where the old symbols were.

The reel cages will re-calibrate with the tab passing through the interruptor, but ya gotta have those strips on right if you're replacing them.

You can spin the reels manually all you want, it does not hurt it at all.

I best way to do it is to start peeling the reel off (peeling down) and then after you have a few inches pulled off, start peeling the other end (peeling up). Then put the first part you peeled off back onto the reel and get a sharpie and mark the top onto the reel frame.

If you are using my customized kit you will notice a pencil mark on the bottom back side of the reel strips. You need to match this line up with the line you just drew on the reel frame and everything should work.

After I put the reel on, I only put one of the double sided tabs on and don't press down on it yet. Now check to make sure all the reels are right, If they are, go ahead and put on more tabs and press them down.

Another trick you can do with this model is spin the reel manually around and you will notice a RED led light up when the reel is in a certian spot (there is a led for each reel). When you are in the sweet spot, the seam of the reel should be front center.
