    Sounds like it should be ok but you're going to have to experiment to be sure. While all these foils may look the same, there are lots of variables. Everything from adhesive type, to what kind of substrate its designed for, temp range, manufacturing process, and these foils also have a shelf life.
    So far, I've used it on bare ABS plastic as well as lacquer paint and my results are a true, factory chrome finish. The key is the right temp range and length of time heat is applied. As I said, it takes experimentation but its easy.
