New Sea Story

Hi all,
I have recently re-discovered my New Sea Story pachinko which I bought some years ago.
I have either forgooten, or never knew, the significance of the 4 red leds at the bottom of the display, also what the red "O" and "X" do at the top left. I know they start flashing alternately when a ball passes through the "go" cup and they are something to do with opening the jaws on the start cup, but I cant quite work out how they actually work.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just a guess, But the 4 leds probably either mark banked reel spins or banked sub roulette option. it depends if each one lights up following a ball going in the start pocket or through the playfield gates either side of the screen.
That should then start the X and O flashing, If the machine stops on O the tulip under the start pocket will open for a split second. Then one of the leds will go out.

I have just been testing your guess out and it looks like you are bang on.
It must be 3 or 4 years since I last played the machine and I had totally forgotten about the roulette routine.
Not very generous with the open tulip time are they, but I seem to remember that it opens more frequently for a time after a frenzy. Not had one yet to find out.
