WTB: Lupin III Pachinko Machine...

Hello. I started out looking for a Pachinko Machine for my Mom. I discovered that they made Lupin Pachinko machines. My Mom is Japanese and I remember her being very excited when I brought home Lupin III anime movies. Is there a particular modern Lupin Pachinko machine that is considered the most fun?

As you say there are a few Lupin pachinkos and pachislos over the past 20 years . All made by Heiwa. I have the Tower of Lupinas version from about 2009. I think there have been 2 more since then. I think the newest version you can buy is The World is Mine.

Best way is to check out the videos online and see which one appeals the most. Also take in to account availability. As the newest one hasn't reached the second hand market yet.

Thank you so much. That looks amazing! Is this forum the best place to look for second hand pachinkos? I'm looking on Ebay but there seem to be very few modern pachinko machines for sale. I'm also scouring Craigslist but it becomes more difficult when you are looking for specific machines.

I can't really advise seeing as I'm in the UK. But I brought all of my machines in Japan and had them shipped to me. A member might be willing to part with one. Or check out the dealers Akimono seem to be very popular choice for buying newer machines. Apart from that, it's a waiting game I'm afraid.

This is the best place for info on any given pachinko and Craig's and eBay are pretty much the only sources of moderns in addition to one or maybe two importers here in the States.
Another option is YJA which is Japan's version of eBay. Myself and others have gotten machines there that otherwise would never make it here. The caveat is that you have to use a proxy bidder and shipping is very expensive-frequently much more than the machine but its still a great option.

Frank @ Akimono has this one listed.. Don't know if its in your budget, At least you will get balls and a warranty with it

Thank you guys so much. I think I'm going to buy that Lupin Tokaguwa from Akimono! I'm so excited to give this to my Mom. I didn't tell her yet but I know she loves pachinko and Lupin. What could be better!!!

Is there anything else she will need? It says it comes with 500 balls, transformer and key but is 500 balls enough? Is the transformer 120vac to 100vac? Should I order another 1000 balls from somewhere?

The more balls the better as you will not have to refill it so much. But for over approx 1000 balls you will need to make a custom hopper above the machine or make a cabinet to mount it in. If you go and make a sealed cabinet then a Daverob cr dongle is a good add on to get as it re-enables the parlour loan buttons on the front of the machine.

The transformer should be 120-24 vac. Never plug in a machine without a 24v supply or you will fry it.

the transformer they will send with it should work just fine, check ebay for more balls, 1,000 more would make playing more fun with less ball handling.

goldenstatetrader is great to deal with on ebay

It's been 24v for the last 30 years. So you should get it supplied with the right transformer for the US. Never plug in a machine without a transformer or it's bye bye machine. Pachislos come in both 24v and 100v, those ones you do have to be careful with as they come with the same style plug.
