Default 500 tokens (medals) shipped for $30

Akimono has a deal on ebay, 500 tokens for $30.

To save cost, these were made in the U.S. and have a lightning flash and Akimono.com stamped on them. While that might take away from some of the authenticity of your pachislo, I have a different concern.

The listing states these tokens are made of stainless steel, and while there are many grades of SS, I am thinking about the hardness and possible wear on pachislo components. I have thought that tokens were either made of brass, copper, zinc, or tin. These metals are all softer than SS.

I just checked a Daiichi token, and it was slightly magnetic. Some stainless steel scissors had a hard time scratching it. So, maybe tokens are made of SS and I am just worrying too much?

some tokens that are magnetic won't work on some machines, like Rodeo. lighter tokens may not register either.

anyone want to buy a batch and do some testing

Akimono sent me a sample of their prototype tokens awhile back to test. I was initially a little concerned as they appeared to be a little lighter than the ones I use. However, I am happy to say they worked well in all my machines. I am assuming these are the same as the sample they sent.

They are also slightly thinner than the average token which is why they are cheaper. We also offer a full refund if they don't work for you if you pay for return shipping. They work for most scenarios, but if you are picky (or your machines are) they might be a problem. Let me know if you all have more questions and they are on our website too if you want to pay through paypal and save us the ebay fees - Akimono.

With their return policy, I really think you cannot go wrong. Plus you will be supporting a great vendor.
