Sea Story cell swap question/problem? Help plz

Hello all

I swapped a cell from a 2008 hyper (white frame) sea story into a 2008 great (blue frame) sea story frame

when you turn on machine it has a fancy ring tone, and has words on screen (seen in picture 6), everything works good once fancy tone stops

also it has red lights on on top and right side (picture 7) that haven't changed colors, seems something is wrong

any advice helps, can take more pictures if needed

Try doing a reset on it before starting up, These always chime after a reset

Any error codes in LED display on the back? I think the top right LED is the low ball light

The frame manual says If the top light and the RH light are one in red. Check the glass switch, and also switch off for 30 seconds and turn back on again. The led on the back will either be showing nothing or 4 or 5

Frame manual lists 2 symptoms for top and rh frame lights in red with no error code on the back. But it will take me a while to translate it.

also opened glass, saw 2 things that had to be pushed in, taped both of them, but no luck, removed tape after test, one is a black button that frame holds in, second is the pay out drop pipe

Don't worry about the red text on start up, Here's a rubbish iphone picture of the start up of my Super Sea Story

There is a main reset on this, on the LH side, marked as RWM, I should point out that I did a reset on mine by turning the power off, holding the RWM whist turning the power on, It chimes like yours and the top and right hand light was red, But after 30 seconds the chimes stopped and the lights returned to their normal colour.

Out of interest, If you want to by-pass the door alarm, it the 2 plugs just below the RWM button. See mine are taped up. Probably a normally closed circuit.

Hello

So I tried to reset 3 times, after I turned machine on it made a beep beep beep, alarm clock sound, the lights were white, then changed back to red, everything was red after a couple of seconds, while beeping at me, picture below, after beeping stops, just red on top and right side, pictured also.

If I turn on machine without resetting, its a different sound, almost like a crazy ringtone of a cellphone, like a good morning chime

I unplug and replugged the wires you showed in picture, no change, also I have that whole piece that those wire plug into, it was sent with the frame, could that have any affect on problem?

Here a question

Are the red lights something to do with the door/glass or could it be something else, I can take machine apart, like I did to remove cell, could it be a loose wire or wire not contecting correctly, I will follow your advise, and will try anything, I could even put back in white frame to find out if its the (blue) frame, or wiring on blue frame, to lessen the trouble shooting, very easy to cell swap with practice now, thanks for all your help and advice, tell me what you think I should try, I still have a extra frame (white), bottom circuit board, that you have pictured with taped wires on hand, need to ship back sometime next week

Still working on translating the second part.

If the lights are flashing and it plays a musical scale up and down. Thats the door open alarm. Its a normally closed circuit. If I unplug mine I get the music sound and flashing lights.

The second part says if the lights are on constant and its a warning tone, it says the fault is 不正入入賞の検知 Detetion of authorized prize. I haven't done the resolution part yet.

The red lights don't flash, and once chime stops, it doesn't start again. The only change of the red light is a blink of each bulb from left to right, one at a time, every 90 seconds or so.

Doesn't seem like alarm of door being open while power on, like other machines make if someone cheats or us opening to fix or cheat

The resolution states that after 30 seconds the machine should revert back to normal

Does the frame payout ok on a start pocket hit? Also check the other pockets and jackpot trap door for payouts.
Did this do it in the other frame. It might be a fault sensor on the payout side of the motor, or faulty wiring.

One other thing to try is the other button under the 7 seg display on the bottom board. Press this when the power is on. listed as a return state switch

Tried each payout, they each worked, and paid as soon as door was closed, each one made a beep sound when i dropped ball into, I will try reset button below error code number

I can't help you on this, but playing sanyo games compared to others, sanyo light show, reaches, and fevers are kind of weak compared to others, I have american dream casino and now sea story, both are 1/99 versions (4 or 6 round fevers), it neat to have sea story, but I would go after something better, I don't know your collection, but the eight I have, sea story lands in middle, and its my newest machine

I would try swapping all the boards out of the white frame and put them in this one. Might be worth doing one at a time. Also if you dare, bypass the door switches like on mine After the problems I had of cell swapping with a Heiwa Lupinasu frame. I can understand the frustration. At least you know all the boards and payout assembly in the white one are good. there maybe a slight difference in the boards you can't see. Oh all the manuals for these in different colours seem to say the same thing. But I'll double check tomorrow. Although I forget which colour version I gave to Daverob. I think I had yellow, cherry blossom and blue frame manuals, but I'm sure all the spec was the same but I might be wrong.

So here what I did

I re-setup white frame, once done, plugged in, and it had the same problem, red lights, same chime, so I change the lower micro board, and sound stopped, red lights gone.

Now moved every part from white frame to blue frame, red lights on, chime noise, so I switched micro board, same problem, so it has to do with the micro board.

Any ideas? What should I do, or try next
