    Default Pachislo Internet Tournament System

    Hey guys and girls,

I have made enough progress following the information gathered about the pachislo stop board from my previous post, so I figured I'd make a dedicated thread for my next project: an internet connected pachislo tournament system.

    The Idea:
To create a way to connect Pachislo systems together to offer an enhanced gaming experience similar to the "americanized" casinos. Pachislo machines that are internet connected can participate in wide area progressive jackpots where each machine's owner can set the amount of 1 per every 'x' tokens inserted that are contributed to the wide area jackpot.

    Features:
    • Wide Area Progressive play - Slot owners can configure how many tokens to contribute over time. Wide Area Progressives are won through mini-games displayed on the upper monitor.
    • Mini-Games - At random times, mini games can appear on the upper monitor. Mini games are controlled by the 3 front buttons on the Pachislo. These games can be slots or some other "pick a random object on screen" objectives as seen in bonus rounds
    • Tournament Play - Slot owners can configure their machine through a web interface to allow tournament play. Tournament play would allow a certain number of credits on the machine for a period of time, then the participant has to play all credits during that time. The player's tournament score is the sum of all "tokens out" based on the person playing with their credits.
    • Web Browser-based Configuration - Since the Pachislo would be internet connected, configuration can be managed from your web browser.
    • Player Profiles - Player profiles are synchronized with cards. If no card swipe is installed, the web configuration tool can be used to assign players to a machine.

If anyone is fairly tech-savvy, I might need some beta testers in the near future. The equipment:

    • Raspberry Pi Computer (Online for $35)
    • WI-FI USB plugin (optional) (Online for $10)
    • Card Swipe/RFID reader (optional) (Online for $20)
    • Wire from CN4 connector on relay stop board to the pins on the raspberry pi
    • Monitor that connects via HDMI to the computer

More will be posted here as the platform develops. Any ideas, comments or features? Feel free to post!
    Pachislos: Kiwame
Pinballs: Space Shuttle, Space Gambler, Millionaire, Whirlwind, Rollergames, The Addams Family, Demolition Man 2000 (custom pin)
