    Default Greetings from Northern Illinois!

Hey everyone, I am new to pachinko and this forum! Just yesterday I purchased a 1970's Sankyu (sankyo?) pachinko machine from a retiree who didn't have time to fix it. Only $10! I brought it home and a couple hours later I had it all running again, lights and all.

Now, my step brother (2.5 years old) loves the game, so I am thinking of ways to make it more fun for him. These are signs that I'm hooked on the hobby, right? Anyway, looking forward to catching up on the forum and maybe documenting the embellishments (with respect!) to this machine and others...maybe!

According to the registration sticker, it was last licensed in 1973 (showa 48). I'm having trouble sourcing the ball sensors for the project... I thought that it would be simple to get used "eddy sensors" from older pinball machines, but their price is over 10x the cost of pachinko machine itself! I have found some for $65, but that is too much too, especially when it would take 4 or more to make the game interesting. I'll start another thread later when I get further.

Try searching the pachinko modifications forum for "GAKU" counter. Member Musky sells them for a very reasonable price. They use a sensor that is inexpensive...

Musky sold out of those I think. I bought up some of the last few he had left. But I plan on using them for personal machines.

    100 machines and counting...
