Default Sankyo - balls not always firing...

Hi there again! Spoke too soon I just closed this post a couple of days ago about my Sankyo machine...

    Sankyo error 3 and beeping

It worked perfectly for couple of hours but then balls seems to stop firing... when I turn the shooter handle the hammer fires but balls are not loading from the upper tray.

Occasionally one or two will fire, then none... then maybe 10, then one or 2 again...

I was wondering if it's something to do with pay-out?? It does seem to fire some balls If I open the front and put a few balls down one of the win slots and it then pays out 5 balls... it fires a couple and then stops again...some info on how it should pay-out would be good?

There are loads of balls in all the machine and when the lower try gets full it stops firing, until I let some out which is fine...

Also, is there a re-set switch somewhere to reset pay-outs? I've looked everywhere and can't see one, maybe there isn't?

    cheers

try and open the shooter tray and see if there is a dust bunny or something causing a slow down at the point where balls are regulated befor the shooter..

on vintage machines there is a long ramp that pivots back and forth allowing only one ball at a time to the shooter,, then with each flip only one fall is lifted to the shooter.. i have seen many o time where a dirty ramp or dust bunny will slow the movement of balls allowing intermintant working.. your morder is a bit different but there is still a point where only one ball will pass with each shot.. check there for dirt grim or other??? ick

    good luck

turn your door key to the left to just open the glass part, then look for a small latch near the bottom to open the bottom half of the door

clean the ball ramp there, maybe cleaning the balls might help too!!

Excellent thanks guys. Opened up the front and unlocked the bottom section to reveal the trackways into the shooter feed. unscrewed the little plastic release mechanism and there was a huge ball of fluff in there. Removed it - working fine again...
