Default 3 Pachinkos, 1 Pachislo, 1 low price. NY

come take all this for 450.

Everything works great and as it should, I have at minimum 2000 new pachinko balls and 500 pachislo tokens (not the gold ones in the tray, but ill include those). The popeye and horse racing theme pachinko have those little stands on them, the lucky tomato has nothing on the bottom

    Come get em!

I want the Popeye, but I cannot blame thestreetzking's apprehension about shipping. It needs to be packed very well and Fedex fees will be in the double digits.
Somebody please jump on this deal so I don't have to be frustrated.

I will NEVER understand you guys and your aversion to shipping fees.

Common complaint I hear is "the shipping fee will be more than the machine and you wouldn't want that", to which I immediately reply: "So what?"

I come from a country where it costs me almost $20 to get a couple of records worth $10 across the country.
    Worth every cent.

Buy a big heavy pachi for $100 and you won't pay $100 for shipping?
I don't get it - it's the cost of the sale and that's what it costs to transport.
You can't wish it cheaper - don't you want the machines?

    Enlighten me?

Can't enlighten you but I've wondered the same thing countless times. Or another one is if X was spent on a machine then X becomes the max that can be paid to fix it. Every time a cool machine comes up on YJA there's the inevitable follow up of how crazy shipping is. YJA air shipping is crazy but its the cost of doing business and by far the most important thing to me is having access to machines that will never be available here. My advice: save money so that machine can be bought when available.

I understand what you are saying Candyflip, but let me surprise you a little. I recently bought a telescope for $20. I could have picked it up from the store, but since that was 2000 miles away, I had it shipped. That cost $210 and nobody was gouging me. I think you would agree a 10 to 1 shipping cost to item cost ratio is ridiculous, however, the total cost was below what I could purchase it locally, and I wanted this telescope badly, so I paid the $210.

While I might complain about shipping, that is not what is holding me back. Firstly, thestreetzking doesn't want to ship it. That is understandable. It has taken over a month of bullsh$t with the post office to get a claim settled with them damaging a laserdisc player I bought on ebay. Secondly, thestreetzking or another party would have to construct a shipping container. He may not want to do that. If that is the case, then there is a cost associated. Its about $70. This includes the driver to pick up the pachinko and construction of the shipping container. Then there is the price that thestreetzking would accept for the pachinko, lets say $100 to make it simple. Then there is the shipping cost, which would probably be about $110. The total is $280. If someone was selling a popeye for $250 locally, it would be cheaper, with less likely a chance of damage in transit. But what is preventing this from all happening is that a Popeye isn't worth $250 to me. Everyone is different in that aspect. Moshete paid $1600 for his AKB48 pachinko. He wanted that machine badly. I wanted that telescope badly, and so I paid as much as I did.

Yeah, I am a cheap-ass tight wad. If I could have the popeye on my doorstep for $200 total, I might just do it. But Candyflip's signature is correct, "There is always another machine around the corner...", so I am waiting to see what the future brings.

yeah guys, sorry but im the one who doesnt want to ship, for 1, Im out of the country on my honeymoon for a little while as of tomorrow, and 2, i just bought a house, so im currently packing everything I own and moving as soon as I return, So yeah I could ship, and it would be about a month before I had the time, or you could pick it up and I could easily have someone whos home show you the items and complete the sale.

See, thestreetzking has better things to do than to ship out pachinko machines.

Congrats to you and the missus, thestreetzking!

There is a pinball forum that I check out every day and you would be supprised how many people are willing to buy a $7500 machine but do not want to pay $250 to have it shipped. I bought a machine for under $500 and paid almost $280 to have it shipped. And I was glad to do so because I really wanted it. I just factor in what the shipping costs as part of the overall package. We all pay for shipping at one time or another and its all relative. A smaller item, less shipping. A heavier more valuable item, higher shipping. It really does not bother me. Of course I would rather buy locally and get something cheaper, but that is not always possible. Especially it seems with pachinkos and pachislos. Not everything that is of interest can be found on the local craigslist.

I agree that shipping can seem high. I just look at total cost and decide if the machine is worth that total amount to me. It doesn't make my opinion right or wrong. Just like anything else, it worth to me what I am willing to pay. I cannot blame a seller if they do not want the hassle of shipping an item, it is certainly their choice. If you want the machine bad enough, ask the shipper if they mind just dropping it off at a local pack and ship place. Then you can deal with the pack and ship and make it easy on the seller.

By the way, congratulations on getting married. I wish you and your new family all the best.
