The only REAL issue I had was I had to "dremmel" down the the ball loaded as it had a divot in it making the balls stick and no recease into the shooter cleanly.
I Never changed a cell in the frame or any frame. That was why I was considering getting a V-trigger frame given the amount of games that it has!
    Enjoy!

I hear the V-trigger is super easy as well.

Yeah, originally the japanese option was an option of last resort because the shipping made buying direct always more expensive than buying from a reseller. Now that price differential has disappeared a bit.

1000 yen is 10 bucks, then add Juno's fee's and such and you're looking at probably 60 bucks to get to juno. then another 150 to get to the US, so a frame for 210, and a cell for about the same and you're looking right at $440.00 which is right in line with what some resellers are asking.

Of course, you are responsible for adding your own transformer and wiring it up...

So really the costs are right in the same ballpark.

    True

Our friend in Isreal said his AKB48 machine ran him over $1200.00 when said and done. So international shipping can vary. yahoo.jp is by no means cheap...but it is an option of last resort.

That sounds about right. I use juno at bidservice.jp. He comes highly recommended here and he is quick and professional. You may be better off doing what I did. Buy a machine from either Five Brothers or Akimono that has the v-spark frame (like Yamato Revival). You'll probably get it cheaper and it will already be fitted with a transformer and be ready for use. Then you can use yahoo.jp to buy the cells. The v-spark frame is relatively current, so you can probably find them pretty readily.

I bought my CR Yamato 1 from Akimono during a sale and the thing ran 300 plus 85 shipping, Then I dropped the 220 on the second cell. Remember after the 260.00 for the frame, you're gonna have to get a transformer, so that's gonna run you another 30 to 50 bucks...Then balls...So sometimes it's better to buy the frame with a cel you want already and then use yahoo.jp to get additional cells.

    Yes
But the original cost of that machine alone was ¥48,000 because it is so new.

Received the cell today!!! WOW!!! very fast considering...

Some minor damage. A clip holding the lower circuit board casing in place broke off. Not critical. I can either try to glue it back on or just duct tape the tabs on the board casing to the back cover. Problem solved.

Also the back cover had some minor cracks in it.

So far the front looks good and there is no physical damage to the playfield that I can tell.

So the damage that occurred so far is primarily cosmetic in nature, and isolated to the back of the machine...

Of course I'm at work, so It will be 2 more hours until I can put it in the frame and test it...I'm holding my breath that it will work...

    It's installed and WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!

The CR Yamato 2 cel is NOT a Yupachi version so it has a standard 15 round payout that just keeps paying and paying. The CGI is so much better than Yamato 1. As promised, here are some pics as promised and a video.

And when I want to play CR Yamato 1, I am only 5 minutes away.

So does this count as having 5 machines or 4.5?

Here I had to apply the duct tape to replace the broken latch

And a short video of the attract screen
