    Hey Arby,

While the playing fields of these machines seem to be like the vintage machines, it would appear that all of them have modern shooters. If that is the case, they would seem to be better identified as a modern Pachinko rather than a vintage Pachinko. I really like them and think they seem to be the link between the vintage machines and the modern machines. To Dennis I would have to say that I also like the brilliant red colors on these machines. The Japanese letters really do not appeal to me, but these machines really are not covered with the Japanese writing.

Are any of these machines likely to get on E-Bay for someone like myself to bid? And if they were available, would they go for big dollars? I really like them and would not mind having one if it was not expensive. If I understand Arby correctly, they seem to be priced between $25 and $77 now, but, till you get shipping to this country and a profit margin added in, it would seem they will be more expensive than the modern Pachinkos already available. I really like these, but I would think they are not worth as much as a modern machine - to me, at least.

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile

    Hey Arby,

I'd say I missed the barn by about twelve yards on that calculation. Are these folks serious about these prices? I like the machines as a throwback just as I like the vintage thumb shooter machines. In my opinion, however, the new machines are worth more to me than the old machines. I just don't get it? Thanks for setting me straight on my calculation errors.

    Best wishes,

    Hey Arby,

I had a Pachinko machine back in the mid 70s and thought it was great. I was sorry that I allowed it to stay with the house when I sold it in 1981. When I first saw a modern Pachinko (Fever Seven Flash), I liked it even better than the old thumb shooter I had. Now that was not a rejection of the old machine, but rather, a new and even greater appreciation for the new technology. In addition to the action of the balls, I like the spinning reels of the new machine and the slot action.

After buying the Fever Seven Flash, I then purchased a nice looking vintage machine which has images of the Lady Liberty and other USA sights. It is fun to play, but it is a throwback compared to the new machines. I did not buy it to replace the newer machnes, but, rather, to complement the newer machines as a throwback. I have also purchased a second modern machine, but it is really pretty much like the Fever Seven Flash - with spinning slot wheels.

I have never seen any other modern machines other than on the computer screen. If I were to see a Pachinko with an LCD screen, I would bet I would instantly fall in love with that technology too. And I would probably place a higher dollar value on the newer technology LCD machines than I do on the spinning reel machines which I also value more than the old thumb shooters.

When I saw the machines you posted here in this thread, I immediately thought they were neat and would be a welcomed addition to a "collection"
of Pachinkos. In my value system, however, I would place them above the vintage thumb shooters and below the spinning reel machines I have.

They sure are pretty to my eye.

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile

It seems to me that on some of the LCD machines, the LCD screen is almost more of a distraction than an enhancement once you get used to it. Not to say that is true on all of them.

    Hey folks,

I am guessing the screens on my two Pachislos, Outlaw and Azteca, are LCD screens, but I am not certain. In any case, I find them interesting, but I am still new to them. Maybe they will get old after a while. I would like to see what Arby and Logicprobe have described about their LOTR and Star Wars. They sure sound exciting.

    Best wishes,
