    Default JP Post problems

    Hello all,

I would like to see if any of you fine people have heard of this issue I am having with a Japanese Distributor. They say that JP Post won't export any Pachinko or Pachislo from Japan.

    ( i know right!)

Have you ever heard of such a thing? Or is there some sort of schedule that I am missing where they don't import during certain times of the year.

I figured if anybody knows what might be going on it's you guys!

    Thanks!
    Pachi On!

there has been a few posts about this over the last few years... but i know members are still buying machiens and having them shipped... something to be aware of is weight.. morder machiens are heavy now a days they can be over the max weight allowed for shipping..if you check a few post there is allot of info on how to buy a machine and who is willing to do the bidding for ya.. thouse "proxi" bidders know how to ship a machine..

if your looking to buy something ask and i know we ahve a few members that buy allot of items and have them shiped

That happens with some proxy bidders as well. They have their own limits and don't want to deal with heavy items. Sometimes you have to contact them prior to placing a bid with their automated system to get approval.
If the item is to heavy for EMS air then it will go FedEx and will be very expensive.
The proxy bidder you want to deal with is Juno. His email is juno@bidservice.jp
Tell him what you want with a link to the auction, what your max bid is and he'll do the rest. You'll then send a deposit or maybe all of your max bid. You may send all if you're a new customer. Then just sit back and wait.
If you win, he'll keep you informed of the its progress and if not, you're money is refunded right away.

I was assuming above that you were using YJA. Juno can also get items for you that are not on YJA. Again, send a link to him of what you want and where it is and see what he can do. I don't think he'll physically go out searching, it's more of a have the item shipped to him and then he ships to you situation.

I always say, that unless you are after a new, rare or specific machine, You are much better getting it from one of the US importers. Yes the inital price on YJA is much better, but when you get the shipping and import duty, There isn't much of a saving, Plus you get warranty as well from a US importer.

But back to the question, The main problem as said above is weight, To ship a newer machine, it will have to be stripped and put in 2 boxes, Most proxy bidders are unwilling to do this. I had 6 machines shipped last year to the UK, so it is possible and Emmadog had one shipped last month to the USA.

I'm sure it's down to weight. Although Dodonpa do say on their website that they will seperate frame and cel. I'm sure I read iron there somewhere.

naw... they just want to offer the service. So as someone who felt like you not more than 6 months ago, I would wholeheartedly recommend juno at Bidservice.jp - Juno's Japan Bid and Buy Agent Service for Worldwide.. Without it, you're at the mercy of whatever makes its way here otherwise. And settling for that would be bad... not just an inconvenience... like... say... setting your iPhone keyboard in French mode and forgetting that the autocorrect will follow suit... zing!

One other person on this board has had a problem with A seller, that sells on ebay, as well as their own website, and it was never resolved. But I don't know both sides of the story. So I will leave it at that in a public forum.
