Default This one is a bit more reasonable.

Antique Pachinko Nishijin Super DX Baseball Theme | eBay

Now that's more like it!!! this one looks pretty good for Ebay.

A nice low BIN price as well as reasonable shipping.

You can buy it and get it shipped for under a Benjamin, which for Ebay is a win win.

Of course it's in California which explains the low cost.

Not interested in buying another "B" though. I'm spoiled on the "A", and the only non "A" I've seen that I would think of buying is the No More War 3.

Come Christmas, though, I might need to pick up a Modern to see what all the hubbub is about. Almost got a StarWars for $375, but let it go. Kind of kicking myself for that decision, but I hear the machine was cool for the theming but wasn't that fun to play.

When It get closer to Christmas, I'll have to poll the people here to see what the best moderns are for game play.

Vintage Samkyo "Concorde" Pachinko Japanese Slot Machine 1950's to 1960'S | eBay

Here's a reasonably clean Sankyo for our friends in the Midwest. Local Pickup only, but this one looks complete and relatively clean and most importantly, reasonably priced. Having done two background restorations now, replacing the background is a must for me, but this one looks like it may not need it.

p.opus I haven't played a vintage, but some to the talk I hear from you guys...um...well has me looking at them. Just worried it might be more of a clean up project than what I would have the energy for. Besides the cool vintage vibe, what is so appealing about these old birds?

    1. Many of us were raised on vintage pachinkos since we had machines during the great pachinko import rush of the 80's. So for a lot of us, it's a nostalgia thing.

    2. Vintage pachinko was "bare bones" shoot the ball in the pockets. No slot wheels, no videos, no secondary games. Just put the ball in the pocket. Also, vintage machines have Manual shooters which added a bit of "skill" in that you could actually kind of place the ball. Certain targets would open up secondary targets which would reward accuracy. For example, I have a bowling machine that if you get the center feature, it opens up three additional pockets. If you hit them in the proper order, you can get an additional two payouts, so I have the possibility of getting a total payout of approximately 90 balls, but if I hit the wrong pocket, then my payout shrinks to 60. So a lot of us like the added "skill" element.

    3. MOST IMPORTANTLY. Almost ANY vintage machine can made "fully operational". The only electrics on them is lighting (which can be easily powered by a single 9V battery). All the payouts are mechanical and "powered" by the winning ball. Thus, my vintage can be played anywhere, and as long as I have a little bit of mechanical aptitude, I can get a machine working. For the electronic ones, if a logic module, circuit board, motor, LCD screen or whatever burns out, I have a big paperweight. Sure, there are people here who can help with moderns, but if you need a part, and that part is not available, you are screwed. With a vintage, I can usually jury rig the machine to make it work. Depending on my skill I can even fit the machine with parts not made for that machine, (with a little creative tinkering). So for restoration junkies, they are a joy to work on.

    Just my two cents...
i enjoy Star Wars because of the cut scenes from the movies.
Have had over 100 vintage machines and prefer the CR moderns for PLAYING.

Trying to repair a modern is like trying to repair a TV for me; not easy.

I do enjoy repairing vintage machines; giving them a new lease on life and passing them on.
it is definitely a hobby and not a profitable business.

My adult children prefer the Wii or face book... My grand daughter enjoys pressing the cash out button on pachislos and loading the tokens back in. To each their own...

I personally prefer the slower pace and the feeling of a little more skill involved with the vintage machines. I have been playing my JAWS modern quite a bit over the last couple of days though as it has decided to give up several fevers. The moderns do put on quite a show when they are paying out.

Card my friend the show is what im all about the more buttons to smash and cheesy lights the better. Now all I need is the tacky casino carpet on the floor and I will have reached the height of cheesy that my wife will tell me that Im in the doghouse, lol

"The moderns do put on quite a show when they are paying out." Figured i'd post a few photos of the show that I had today, It was pretty awesome, also after the big show the machine said something like chance bonus and 96 cr was on the screen and all it does it pay out, is this a typical win?96 cr casino king.jpgcongrats 444.jpg
