    Default Help with electrical

I bought a old machine and trying to get it working. I know nothing about these machines. I got the mechanics working, but not the electrical. I plug in a battery, but nothing happens. Can I get some troubleshooting hints? Thanks.

I like your machine. The first thing I always check is the bulbs. Pull them out and touch one wire to the bottom and the other to the side. If they work, try hooking up the battery the way you did and use a piece of wire to bypass the fuse. The fuses are usually good, just a poor connection. Sometimes just turning them fixes the problem. If you still have nothing, take a close up picture of the back with the battery hooked up to make sure you have it connected right. Also take pictures of the switches. There is one for the low ball light and another for the jackpot. Lets start with that.

Thanks for the reply. I can't even get to the bulbs, without taking the whole machine apart. Is there an easy way? Here is pic of the battery hookup.

I do not have your particular machine, so I do not know a easy way and there may not be. You seem to have your battery hooked up right. I think if you take the white connection and hook it up to the green, this will turn on your low ball light. This is not the correct hook up, but a way to check one of the bulbs. Have you tried bypassing the fuse yet? Your wires and connections appear to be good. If nothing seems to work you might just have to get in there and replace the bulbs.

The red ball block is in the incorrect position; it is in the bottom of the picture in post 3.

In post 1; there are a lot of balls stuck in the jackpot exit chute.

I think the bulbs are behind the truncated circle in the picture (looks like three wires going into center of circle) and think that the circle snaps out. This circle is just above the red ball block, post 3 picture.

Thanks you for all the replies.
I have made a bit of progress. After wiggling a few wires, the top right light (viewed from the front), now comes on when hooking up the battery. No luck with the top left light yet. With all the suggestions, I'll work on that other light.
Now onto actually playing. I'm going to start a new thread, asking how to play the machine. Thanks.
