Default Would this key work for my pachinko machine?

Hi there, I'm new to this site so I apologize if my question is a bit amateurish as I had just bought my first pachinko machine recently. And might I add that I love it!

I'm in the process of upgrading it as there are a few problematic issues. And also in upgrading it so that it's more a parlor-like style (at least with just the card emulator anyway).

My machine is a Nishijin "Monkey Magic" Y&O Model, 15&5. For which you can see in this video of someone else who has it as well. It's exactly the same lol:

    Question:
There's a pachinko key that I saw on sale and would like to get. However I'm not too sure if that key would work for my machine. I've uploaded a close-up shot of the key hole on my machine, and hopefully you guys would be able to tell if it will work or not.

And this is the key I'm thinking about getting:

I hope all this information helps and thanks a lot you guys for anyone trying to help me

Oh wow thank you so much for uploading those!

Based on those pics it would seem like the key I'd like to get would be able to work. Just out of curiosity is one of your machines a Nishijin? Is it a classic or modern?

That key works on all of my moderns and even some that I didn't expect, however it doesn't work in my Y&O. It fits in but I can't turn it. There may be a problem with the lock (which I suspect is the case) and not the key but I thought I should at least give you a heads up. I'm pretty sure that all the locks have been standardized so they can go in any parlor and the attendants only need to carry one key.

Thanks Yukiwanwan! Good to know. I'll have to investigate the lock on mine.

Put me in the "my skeleton keys don't open my y&o" gang. Looks the same as others... But maybe it's been messed with.

Glad I checked it before I hung it on the wall.

Oh well... One more thing on the shopping list.
    Woof!

My keys work in my Y&O..

If the key fits in but won't turn it is super easy to take out the pins on most locks..then the key should work..

This how to was made before keys became common in the US..I remember doing it to a few of mine before I got keys and it only took about 5 minutes..And once I got keys they worked fine in the depinned locks..

PachiTalk Research Center - FAQ - Pachinko - Pachinko Lock Conversion for 'Omron' Lock - PachiTalk

If anyone does decide to do it just make sure to read everything carefully and don't touch the button thats mentioned in the how to!!

    Mr.Gneiss,

Thank you so much for the link! That's definitely some helpful information there. In which case I've decided I'll get the key.

It seems rather uncommon to find a pachinko key for sale. So I figure might as well. And if it doesn't work, at least I have that Lock Conversion link to follow

The only machine I have that the key didn't work in was Cutie Honey but I had a spare cylinder and just swapped the locks over.
