Default New member needs some help on Kyoraku :(

Hey guys, new to the site... My wife and I just bought two Pachinko games from an auction this past weekend and are in love with them! I do not plan to sell, I built a very nice case (in my opinion) for my machine... Now my wife's machine is the one I need help with. The unit seems to work fine but it is missing the lower track cover! Is there anywhere I can find the track cover for this machine? All I know is what it says on the front, Kyoraku. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys and hope to stay on this forum with all of you! Like I said, I will not sell this unit but what do you think the value is? Just so I don't dump a ton of money into something worth nothing...

And the track piece that is missing

Last time I did it, I got a sheet metal tie (for attaching two boards together) at the hardware store, cut it to length, then bent it at the proper spots. The tension in the metal held it in well. Any sort of thin sheet steel/copper/alumin(i)um will work. just get it to the right width, and not too thick.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!

A lot of machines seem to be missing the track cover. Making one is an easy and cost effective solution as Lucky Dog and Chumsize mentioned. There are some members who have gone as far as molding replacement parts although I am not sure I have seen one done for an early modern like yours.

In answer to your question on value. Depending on condition, and how many balls the machine came with, I would guess around $75 for the machine in your pictures, assuming everything is working properly. It looks like a nice machine, just needs a good cleaning. I would love to see pictures of the other machine you have and the cabinet you built.

    i make my own..

    Pachinko B cover (1).jpgPachinko B cover (2).jpgtrack cover (2).jpgtrack cover (1).jpgtrack cover.jpgmizuho back 2.jpg

the thicker the metal the better (up to a point)

it does not have to be pretty but as you know ya do need one

the first two pics are thin material left over fro some rain gutters I instaled... thin material so i had to bend an edge for strenght... now i use flat aluminumn stock from my local truevalue (harwear store).. its a bit harder to cut and bend but i think it looks better

I use flashing from the hardware store. Cheap and easy to cut and form.
