    Default My First Machine, Gladiator

Love the sounds and lights. However, the video doesn't seem to work. The screen seems to be scrolling most of the time. Occasionally It clears but there is now action. Just what looks like advertising. Any suggestions. Also, anyone know of a repair contact in Wisconsin, Norther Illinois or Iowa?

Is there any way you could post pics or better yet a YouTube video of what is happening??

Will try a video later. Here are 3 pictures. 1. scrolling screen. 2 and 3. little characters that show up on screen occasionally. Never any animation like I have seen on YouTube

I would try and remove and reattach the LCD cables and do a full game reset.
Power off the game, hold the reset button, power the game back on while holding the reset for about 10 seconds. Sometimes you need to hunt for the reset other times its by the power switch.

odds are it is just a poor connection somewhere.

wiggling and resetting connections will sometimes help

Reset the RAM but couldn't figure out where the LCD cable would be. Here are some shots. Can anyone give me advice and what to look for or how to get to LCD cable.DSC01817.jpgDSC01819.jpg

Also here is a look at the machine in action. Get the little characters on the screen but no animation.

I rotated the images for you (I know that doesn't help much):

    image1.jpgimage2.jpg

Did you check all the connections that were accessible when you opened the cover?

I do not have this machine, although I know that several members have mentioned having this one. Hopefully one of them will be along soon and can help with some suggestions.

A couple of years ago, I ordered one of these machines from Frank at Custom Pachinko.

When I received the machine it had the same type of problem you are experiencing.

It appears that this machine does not handle shipping very well, the bumping/trashing of UPS, or FEDEX is very bad on the liquid video display.
There was nothing that could be done to make the machine work properly, and Frank had to have the machine returned as a claim filed against UPS.

I believe another Pachitalk member also had an issue with this particular machine, and Frank tried went to him to try to fix the machine, but again to no avail.
The machine had to be hand delivered/picked up to avoid the bumping caused in transit.

Finally it works. Frank advised to play it through a round. After about 3 hours the machine seemed to reset itself and low and behold the video showed up. Frank was incredibly patient with me and I really appreciate the support.

This is an awsome addition to my game room. Thanks to all of you for your response to my post.
