I am planning to do the same thing with my top tight. I am looking for something not quite a bright as what is currently in my machine. I have put this machine on the back burner due to other projects going on but need to get back to work on it.

The shaker for the ball tray is disconnected on my machine. I connected it once and it works but it really doesn't seem necessary and the noise is a little annoying.

My machine has a small hole in the side of it to allow you to open the machine. There is a thread somewhere on here where I took measurements of the the hole and it's placement. I will see if I can track down that thread. I plan to install a new lock so I can open the machine with a key and then might fill the hole although it is not very noticeable.

Post some pictures of your machine when you get a chance. I would love to see them.

    Congratulations on the machine.

Thanks for the tips. A new light wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm just curious as to what wattage they used originally. Plus I never saw a see through condenser or starter, whatever they are called these days.

Card Shark, I sent you a P.M., or at least I think I did. I'm not sure if it went through. I sent you my email address so I can see the schematic and other paper work you had. If it didn't go through, let me know.

I'll send out some pictures after I clean it up a bit.

I just want to varify that the black, white, and green are the hot, neutral, and ground wires. I have a grey cord attached to my power supply with those wires in it. I can only assume that would be them since I am missing the cord and connector.

    Thanks,

    Larry

I sent a reply to your PM earlier. I will try to remember to email the schematics pdf when I get home tonight.

It appears the link to the website with the schematics is still working so you may be able to download them yourself to get them quicker than waiting for me to get home from work.

Thank you so much that link worked. Also, the P.M.'d worked too. I'm used to getting emails sent to me from another web site when a pm was sent. I guess I figured that all sites do that. I'll figure this site out one day. I just figured out how to upload my avatar. I'm not very computer savy.
    Thanks again!!!

Lets see..This should be how to do it..

Scroll up to the top right of this page and click on "Settings".. Then find "My Account" on the left side and then under that click on "General Settings"..

Now scroll down to "Private Messaging" and find "Email Notification of New Private Messages:" Then click the thing next to "Receive Email Notification of new Private Messages" Then click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page..

    Hope that helps!!

I was able to clean up some of the wood this weekend. This thing was pretty filthy. I have a question to anyone who has taken the board off. In this picture the right arrow points to a connector that easily pulls off of the board. The left arrow points to a red connector. I tried pulling up on it and it didn't give. I don't want to break it. Is this connector removable like the other one or is it soldered in? I ran out of time yesterday to check it any further. I did notice that there were three screws on the red connector, which I thought was odd. Sorry about the partial picture but that's all I got here at work.

    Thanks,

    Larry.

I just added another picture that I found from a post on this website.

Well I was able to eyeball the boards and wire it up. I get nothing but one lightbulb lighting up. Coin mech doesn't start anything. Any ideas on where to start? I'm not an electronics guy. More of an e.m. guy.

Had some time yesterday. Took a meter to trace the power and found a 1,000 mfd capacitor, in the power pack, loose. Took off one side and tested it, it was fine. Soldered it on and the game had some life. It only gives one batch of balls on start up and the tulip solenoid continues to remain energized. There is a ball jam inside and that might have something to do with it. I haven't gotten that far yet. Maybe tonight.

I'm not sure if the opti sensor works. I manually made it and nothing happened. According to what I read. The tilt switch could hold that out. There are two tilts. the pendulum, wich is obviously an open switch. Closing when the pendulum hits the side. The other is near the reset button. Mine is normally open. Is it a normally open switch or a normally closed switch. Any ideas on the switch or the other tid bits that I wrote about?

    Thanks,

    Larry.
