Default Newbie Needs Help with Fuji Ball Shooter

I am new to pachinko but hooked big time. I now have three machines, a Ginza 'Purple Ice', A Fuji 'Pink Panther', and a Fuji 'Areddin'. The first two work great. The Areddin machine had a flakey ball shooter control from the start. I took it apart and cleaned up the mechanical parts and it worked better. After several hours of steady play, it just stopped shooting balls. I checked the micro switch in the handle and it is good. My electronic skills are limited but I can follow instructions. The stepper motor that runs the shooter acts like there is no power to the motor if that helps. If any one can get me started in the right direction I sure would be greatfull. Thanks

First thing to do is check your bypass dongle and fuse (the 25pin printer looking plug) on the back. If you have another machine you can swap with makes it easier

The fuse is good. The dongle and its componets look good. Swapped the dongle with the one one the pink panther machine. Got the same results, a dead ball shooter. What else can I check?

The problem is solved. Inside the shooter knob is a spring that makes electrical contact from the chrome/metal ring to a wire on the back side of the knob. It was cocked in the knob and not making proper contact. I fixed the problem and now the machine works better than ever. Who woulda thought? Thanks to Drunkenclaim for your help.

The ground ring would have been my next suggestion. Glad you got it sorted
