    Default Exterior Lights?

Was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to hook up extra exterior Lights to their Machines. Was just thinking it might be Cool in the game room if I could get Some Other Lights to go off when the bonus round hits. Maybe one of those Police Beacons that turn around or a Strobe or something.
Maybe I am just Bored LOL.

There is a circuit board that has relays on it. That board is used for "Linking" external devices. Such as coin-counters, strobes, extra lights, network links, jackpot signals, error-states... They use these to tell when machines need attendance, (Hopper empty), keep tabs on jackpot hits, keep tabs on pay-in/pay-out, etc...

I saw the schematics somewhere for a generic board, (Commonly used on most machines), but I don't recall where.

In any event, you would still need additional circuits or hardware. That board only provides low voltage output and low amp draw, the relays only open/close (Switch) connections. EG, you would use those contacts to turn other mini-relays on/off, or open/close optical isolated IC chips. If you had a spinner light, it would have to have its own power supply, and the switch/power would be turned on/off with your home-made circuit.

One other thing you could do is tap into the "LED" grid array that I see on all my boards. This is a group of led lights that light durring diffrent states of game activity.

EG, if you slowly spin the wheels by hand, you will eventually see a LED light turn on. That is the "Alignment" sensor indicator. This lights when the "TAB" on the inside of the reel breaks the electronic eye beam inside the reel. (That is how the computer knows where the wheels HOME position is, and how fast the wheel is spinning.)

    One also lights for PAY-IN, PAY-OUT, MAJOR-BONUS, MAJOR-BONUS-WIN, MINOR-BONUS, MINOR-BONUS-WIN, WHEEL-1-ALIGN, WHEEL-2-ALIGN... etc...

If you threw a mini photodiode into a heat-shrink tube/shroud, you could slip it onto the led, and it would activate the photodiode, which you could use to turn stuff on/off.

Hi, The schematics for the casino interface board are here on the forum
in one of the messages. I am the guy that reverse engineered the board.
All of the known signals are decoded and identified on the schematics.
You can easily add external lights to the machine using the relays on the board. All the relay are are dry contact without any power on the contacts.
If you use a 5volt dc wall supply from radioshack you can apply the low
voltage to the contacts and then use this voltage to drive secondary 5volts relays that you can purchase on line from the Digikey website. Using this
approach isolates your higher voltage that you would use 24volts to light
up a casino light tower or a light tower from PATELIGHT to display your
bonus levels or to trigger a sonalert noise maker.

I a have 2 dual red/amber Patelights one of which I am going to connect up
to some future machine that I haven't bought yet.

Also, I have started working on a schematic diagram for the Azteca Legend
mother board. This is a common board type for the ARUZE brand of machines.

It will be available here on the forum in a couple of weeks.

    Hope this info was useful.

Good to see you back, Gerrimat!

We're looking forward to your technical tinkering again!!!

I sold my Azetca Legend... and I don't remember if that processor board had one of those reddish-orange flat connectors on it. I know my Beast Sapp has one.

Really curious what that puppy is used for. Some sort of external programmer??

Anyway... looking forward to drooling over your prints again! Hurry back!!

Gents, Nice to see you all again.

I was indisposed over the last week my mom died on Easter Sunday.

So my time to spend on the board reversal was limited. I've been
reading all the messages as time permitted.

I have resumed the schematic design with the downloading of some
critical device data sheets that are needed for the transistor arrays.

There are a couple of parts that I haven't found data sheets for and will
use generic equivalents based on their functions if I can't find mfg sheets.

Anyway that's a quicky update... Keep watching for the first schematic.

And Everyone please Thank Rob at PachisloUSA he sent me some boards to
analyse. We should have 5 or 6 different cpu designs decoded when I'm done. Then its on to the sound boards...

I have also been considering maybe designing a generic sound board that
Delphicoder could program as a drop in replacement or maybe a piggy back board of some kind like the Autostop Chip that could attach to the sound board and replace the rom function in the cpu.

I'll know more as I go along.

    HI GERRIMAT
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A SCHEMATIC OF A MOTHER BOARD....
I KNOW IT'S A TOUGH JOB TO DO......
I THOUGHT MAYBE THE FOLLOWING INFO MIGHT BE OF HELP TO YOU
IT'S A PATENT SITE FOR THE ARUZE MACHINE....
I'M NOT VERY COMPUTER SAVVY....SO I'LL TRY MY BEST TO TELL YOU
    HOW TO GET THERE..................
    USING THE GOOGLE ENGINE.....ENTER EP944031
CLICK ON EP944031 ARUZE EUROPEAN SOFTWARE PATENT-GAMING
    MACHINE-GAUSS
SCROLL TO VERY BOTTOM OF PAGE AND CLICK ON THE 2nd ONE IN (PDF)
    SELECT DRAWINGS
THERE'S ALOT OF INFO HERE BUT PAGE 12 IS A BLOCK DIAGRAM OF THE
CPU AND THE EXTERNAL INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

THERE'S ALSO A WEALTH OF INFORMATION IN THE DESCRIPTIONS
    SECTION.......
PERHAPS YOU ALREADY HAVE ALL THIS INFO, BUT I FOUND IT AND THOUGHT
IT MIGHT BE OF SOME USE......ELMER

Has anyone put one of these on there pachislos? If so, how did you wire it? I want it to light everytime credits are won. It's a 12V system.

    Any help would be great.

P.S. I can go straight with the hopper because I can turn the credit off on my StarBlazers.

Those are 'end of the aisle' lights. They're 100v powered but are triggered by battle counter signals.

They will flash when a bonus is obtained, an error (if wired appropriately) and if the attendant call button is pressed.
