Arr. Looks like she needs a good swabbing on the rear side along with a new tray.

Hoping there are more parts for these available out there. I have a Maruhon machine that is identical to the front picture above, down to the graphic, etc (The back looks a bit different but very similar.) My front top ball tray is chipped right where the balls come into the tray on the front lip, causing balls to roll out instead of staying in that tray. The rest of the plastics are in good condition, but I would like to replace the broken red tray. Does anyone know of any replacement front trays that are identical (or similar) to the pic that Hanabi posted above? Any leads would be much appreciated! Looks like Nishijin B's are close, but not having much luck finding Maruhon parts.

    to Pachitalk!

Please post some pics when you get a chance, it will help with suggestions.

Finding parts for a Maruhon can be kinda hard seeing not as many were imported. One way to fix your problem might be epoxy if you just have a little hole. Or maybe you could epoxy on a thin piece of plexi below the area and more epoxy on top to make it smooth for the balls to roll. Otherwise I'm afraid your machine might be for parts because no other makers tray will fit exactly the same.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.

You bet, I apologize, I have it apart currently while I'm cleaning it up, but attached are the various pictures of the machine, front trays, main board, and rear mechanisms. The top front tray shows the broken piece. I've also included a picture of the expiration sticker on the main panel as well hoping for some further details on the machine. I also have the back frames, but they are in for stain/paint currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg7.jpg8.jpg

    Thanks for the pics.

Here is some info on your machine: It was built in 1978 and it is a model C type machine. Kinda cool how it has a quick remove back and playfield.

As for the tray I'm not sure how you will be able to fix it. That is a pretty big hunk missing. I don't think it is possible to even fix that gap with epoxy and some plastic as it gets a lot of contact there. Sadly I'm afraid if you can't find another tray the machine may be for parts. Even though the rest of it is in great shape.

Good luck on your hunt for a tray.

Ok, thanks for the help! Bummer on the tray then, I'll see if I can rig something to fit, and will keep my eye out for Maruhon machines (for parts) just in case. Its going to be a "grandkids" machine, so I don't think they'll mind the extra "roll cage" I may assemble for the tray to keep the balls in. As I get further into the mechanisms in back, I may have a few more questions, but would this thread be the place to put those when they come or is there a more appropriate place in the forum for those? Is there a place to find a manual for a model C Maruhon? Thanks again!

I'm glad you're not going to give up on the machine just because of a broken tray!!

People have come up with lots of different ways to fix things, I think its pachiwall thats fond of epoxi and I think I remember someone made a tray out of wood once..turned out pretty cool..

Its probably best to post new (vintage pachinko) questions in the Vintage Pachinko section since not everyone checks the ebay posts..
