Default Questions about new machine (Iron Chef)

    Hello everyone,

I recently got my new machine, Iron Chef. I have a few questions.

First off, what does this pocket do? Balls just pass through with no spin or payout. IMG_1039.JPG

Next, how does this tulip under the start pocket open? IMG_1040.JPG

Finally, I have one speaker hooked up to a volume control and I want to add another volume control or a 2 speaker control. this picture is where the i think the speakers plug in, the wire all the way to the left has the volume control hooked up. which wire would I need to attach the volume control for the other speaker? Thanks for your help, you guys are awesome.

Also for the volume control, what specs should I look for? Ohms, Amps?

last question for now. does the spin count reset when i turn the machine off, or does it save the number of times it spun?

Iron Chef Pachinko! Very nice. I have not seen that one.

The spin count can be reset by finding and pressing the reset button while turning on the power switch.

The big WIN gate opens if you match the numbers, not sure what it is on your machine, "usually" it is the same three numbers e.g. 777 or 222, etc.

You can experiment with the speakers by pinching the connector in your pictures until it releases from the wire and then untwisting it. One or more of the speakers will go silent. If not, you have the wrong wire. It's not good to have an amp not hooked up to a load and driving away but a few minutes should not hurt. My preference is the speaker volume controls on eBay that come in a 6 pack, are VERY small and are adjusted with a very small screw driver. Just search on eBay for pachinko volume controls. I've had better luck with them than the ones at Radio Shack. Both are variable resistors aka potentiometers. I don't know the appropriate size for pachinko volume controls but do know that it is measued in Ohms.

The one "gate" that does not appear to do anything, may not, sometime there is a sensor in the gate, either a metal switch or a sensor. I do have a machine that has a dummy one that does nothing but look good and balances out one that DOES something on the other side of the playfield.

Usually the gate will start the roulette function, which is indicated by some blinking lights somewhere on the cell face, generally it shows a tiny X and O blinking back and forth, if it stops on X , nothing happens, but if it's an O, the tulip that is integrated with the start pocket will open briefly allowing an easy chance at a spin.
( the roulette appears differently on many machines, so it may vary on yours from my description) also it will remember up to , or possibly more than ,4 passes through the gate even if the machine is turned off and back on without resetting it

After a solid day of playing, I love the machine. When I think I have seen everything the machine has to offer, it goes and does something else. The next thing to get is a dongle.
