Always play with reels "Sindbad Adventure"

Hi,
I recently bought a "sindbad adventure", I didn't play it much yet, but once I reached a bonus round (or something) where a green monster fought sindbad. The round was over quickly and sindbad lost. My question now is, do I always have to play with the reels, or are there certain game situations where I have to play with the stick and the buttons?

The "Fight" you see on the screen is pre programmed and will either be won or lost based on what the Motherboard that operates the Pachi wants to do. There are no manual button / knob manipulations that you can do to change the outcome of the event.

All play is done with the 3 stop buttons, and as stated (in the fight scene) random. There are other scenes that are random as well, such as being chased by a boulder. These scenes are NOT the bonus round however. You will know when you are in the bonus round. If you pay attention during the bonus round, there will be a blue arrow on screen pointing either left to right or right to left. Make sure you press the stop buttons in the direction when it pops up...either left to right or right to left.
