Toyomaru Evorishion Frame Buttons? - King of Dumplings Pachinko

Got the King of Dumplings game from CustomPachinko recently. Very fun, quirky game.

On the front of the machine is a button with a "P" and above a sphere that, during gameplay, glows different colours.

I'm curious if this is merely for decoration or is, in fact, a button of some sort? You can roll the ball around like an old trackball mouse, but it doesn't seem to press in.

I know this same frame is used on the Galaxy Express 999 pachinko.

Anyone know what's up with it?

It is to make decisions (usually selecting left or right). It is used a lot in burst angel, but I have not seen it's use in king of dumplings yet.

Thanks for the info, Frank. I'll have to keep playing and see if anything happens that makes use of that button!
