    Smile SANKYO Mini Mouth

This is an unusual vintage nail pattern and WIN pocket arrangement.

Only Machine I have seen like it, but more must be out there!
8 top WIN pockets, 2 bottom WIN pockets, 3 tulips and the "Mini Mouth", 14 spinners and two mini spinners...

    Alright - you got me.

How much do you want ?

Seriously though - great looking machine!

No-one could accuse the designers of this one of sleeping on the job?!
There is always another machine around the corner...

Do you still have it? I propose a contest to see who can score the most jackpots in a minute!

Hard to tell from my pictures, but my nail bending was a "little" aggresive...

I'm not proposing any type of wagering at all. ;-) but I'll make a video of how many jackpots I can get in 30 seconds or 1 minute (depending upon how fast the reward tray is drained)... Start with the mini mouth open and all tulips open. Are you up for a small competition? ;-) This is one of the "loosest" Machines I've ever had...

Couldn't agree with you more on that statement. (and probably why they are so rare )

I am up for the competition, however I am laid-up on the sofa with an injury for a few more weeks. Once I am able to get the machine out of my storage area and set it up, then we can spar.

I hope you guys post the videos of the competition. Sounds like fun. Maybe we could put together a vBookie wager on the winner.

Would we need to each have the exact same number of balls loaded both in the hopper, as well as in the shooter tray? Or does that part even matter to make it fair?

Perhaps we could get the community's input on how we set a level play field (pun intended) to make the competition fair.

I was just counting the number of jackpots and not the number of shots...

Here is a sample video for the community to comment on.

I have a hard time watching the time and playing at the same time. And I forgot to open the mini mouth at the beginning, so this is a "test" and not an official entry...

Mini Mouth Competition 1 - YouTube

As you can see, there is not a very visible jackpot light on this game. And the top tray fills up so quickly it is hard to see jackpots, let alone count them...

I think start with same number of balls loaded in top hopper, same number in front and then either set the number of shots to take or set up a kitchen timer. Just my two cents. Either way this should be good fun.

Start with about the same amount of balls in the front and back. And use a kitchen timer to countdown a minute. That way it will beep when a minute is over.

After a minute balls may not be fired anymore. But if there are balls still in play after the timer sounds they still count if they make a jackpot.

I say just for fun you should also see who fired the least amount of balls. (look in loose ball bin)

This sounds like great fun. I think we should do it with power flashes next. Or a circuit. Both of those payout a ton.

Also Carl. The nails on your machine seem to be open quite wide. Then again I'd need a pic of Jeff's machine to make sure they are about the same.

Sounds like we are going to need a nail bending judge, to make the machines are regulation. I am thinking of putting 1,000,000 pachi points on this. This is going to be good.

Nail bending is more of an art than a science.
There is some time before Jeff is ready!
Any thoughts on my video test?

Well If Jeff's Machine still looks exactly like it did here: vintage pachinko with row of windmill and pockets - $40 (Thornton, Co)

Then I can tell you approximately the direction and how far to bend the nails. Though it is hard to do. You really need to see it in person.

Below is your machine with arrows pointing at certain nails. Take those nails and move them in the direction that the arrow is pointing. The longer the tail on the arrow the more it needs to be moved.

Also for all the nails above the line of red pockets. Look at the pocket farthest to the left in my picture. Notice the purple lines. There are also black dots next to the lines those represent the nail heads. On the right side of the pocket the edge of the right nail head should be lined up with the pocket. On the left side of the pocket, The left nail head should be about centered to the side of the pocket.
