    Default Lpad or not?

    hi guys

I know, i'm asking the same question again, but i can't really find an correct answer...

I own an Hokuto no ken 2 pachislo, i set the volume control to low,got 2 potentiometers set to lower volume but still too loud for us.

So,do i need lpad to correct the volume or should i change the potentiometers ? i haven't checked the resistances yet

    thanks for your answer

    Hello and welcome to PachiTalk!

I had put a 3 position switch in my Bellco Automatic pachislo which controlled all 3 speakers in one switch. The loudest setting was without any resistance at all, next loudness was 10 ohm and quiet was 20 ohms. The quiet was very quiet, almost too quiet but it allowed the machine to be played while my son was doing his cyber schooling on the other side of the house.

I have no technical explanation for this what so ever, but the machine seemed to malfunction on the mid setting and especially on the low setting. It malfunctioned by paying out very excessively. Almost every line of 50 tokens would trigger one of the bonuses with few exceptions. It was not like the normal time for the machine to begin paying out... just back to back bonuses and super bonuses almost every time.

I didn't know if any damage was being done so I removed the resistive circuits and switch to restore it to as it was before. It functions normally since.

I am thinking that an Lpad is necessary, but I find that the machine is most fun at its lowest factory setting. Other people, including the rest of my family disagree. That's why I mainly play when they aren't home.

I use these pots on all my machines and they seem to work really well. Pachislo Volume Control.jpg

They are a 500 Ohm, linear taper. The arrows show which contacts to soldier to.

Here's the link to them. 500 Ohm Potentiometer 023-500

Its easy, two wires to desolder/solder per speaker as it was already done

Thank you, does look like a simple add on. Just need to get in the game room and take care of it.

    Hey Pachitalk members,
Just throwing this question out to everybody ...has any one ever fitted a ear phone socket to a pachinko or pachislo slot machine ? And what was the outcome ?

    Many thanks Ryantiger99

Must be an Line out, dont really know if the impedance is right for an ear stuff socket except if you can change volume control
