Second try on making an auto Start / Auto spin Pachislo

Hi All,

Just an update on my trying to have my slots auto spin after pressing the max bet key. ( I see no reason to have to hit the joystick after pressing the max bet button.)

It did not go so good... I had Blown out my Rambo machine logic PCB. (Just a small part.)
I broke the joystick on my Spin Luck Pachislo.

Two failures but I am not giving up just yet.
I have repaired both machines and the are back to working order.

I have added three more machines to my basement, Spin Luck, Popeye & Aladin, but I have not yet updated my video.

Just a little while ago one pachislo company put out some machines with a split spin knob, one half was the max bet and the other half the spin, but it just looked mostly like a regular spin knob..so just hit the whole knob and away you go..Too bad that didn't catch on!!

I'm assuming the need for the two buttons is to slow down play. (laws and stuff)

A quick update. I have a circuit that will take an input from a switch and then delay a second and then send a pulse to the
spin Joystick. My problem is I don't know how the Max Bet or the Joystick switches work.
They are not normal switches ... I put an ohm meter on then and they don't show anything when they are activated.
I am thinking they may be Hall effect type parts or light pulsing circuits but they are not regular normally open or normally closed switches. If anyone can shed some light as to what type of switches or what the output of these switches are it would be a real help.

Well I found out that the max bet switch goes High but only to plus .6 volts when pressed. ( 0 volts when unpressed.)
The Joystick goes low when pressed. The Brown an orange wire can be connected to start a spin. ( no problem for my circuit.)
I am having trouble triggering the 555 timer with the small max bet + .6 volt input. ( I can fix it by adding a component but I do not want to add any more parts to this in case others want a low cost setup. I hope tp have it licked soon. I am not spending a lot of time on the project right now.

Hi Again,

I got it working... All parts are under $2.00.
I have a few troubles I have to iron out.

Good?: No more 1 second wait between spins just press the max bet button and it auto spins. As soon as the reels stop you can press it again. (Works fast as hell with the auto stop.)
Good?: If you get a replay it will wait a second and automatically re-spin. (I'm not so sure this is a good thing.)

Bad: As soon as you put in the metals (tokens) the wheels will spin when the count gets to 3 then the rest are rejected into the payout tray.
(if you press and hold the Max bet button down when you are adding the tokens all is OK and you can fill it up to the 53 tokens.)

It now acts pretty cool when you press the Max Bet button and the reels start spinning. (Just like the slots in Vegas.)

I am going to work on these few remaining problems. (Features?)
