Here's another one and the seller sounds like he is negotiable on the price.

Star Wars Pachinko/Video Slot Machine - $350 (Gilbert)

    Star Wars Pachinko/Video Slot Machine

Asking $350 OBO. I want to make some cash to help pay for my Centipede arcade machine restoration.

Also may be willing to accept trades for something really cool like a classic arcade machine (working or in repairable condition), pinball, anything game room related or techie stuff.

I'm easy to work with, so contact me with your offer!

Is this one overpriced? Of course it is, however I thought I would post it in this thread so others who may be doing their research on the net will see the price on these "rare" machines can fluctuate.

Looks like a nice machine. Based on his asking price, I doubt he would lower it to a reasonable price.

Posting was deleted I guess either he realized he was never going to sell it or he found a sucker to buy it for his price.

I seriously doubt he sold it anywhere near his asking price. Of course there are plenty of suckers out there.

Smile Re: Star Wars Pachinko Machines for Sale on Craigslist

While I don't think $1000 is a good price for a SW, I don't think if someone had the money and thats what they wanted and the machine was in good shape and they weren't lied to that they should really be called a sucker..Especially when they could become a future member and read that..

I do wish everyone could be educated on current pachi prices before they made their first purchases..I mean thats why I try to do the Epoch thread and stuff And why I believe Jeff posted that SW..I just think we should try to be careful how we talk about people that may come here after a purchase we might not think was a good deal, and got them excited about the hobby and joined the site just to see posts that make theme feel like they are just suckers..

I guess I'm just trying to say try to think about what a buyer of this thing might think if they saw this after..I'm pretty sure things like "over priced" or "way overprice" might get the point across to them that maybe they could have researched more first just as much but without maybe having them feel like a chump or sucker for buying it..

And the same goes for vintages..While there seem to be tons out there for just pennies, thats not the case for everyone..and it doesn't necessarily need to be pointed out that you'd be a sucker if you wanted a machine and were personally willing to pay the price being asked..

Ok, that was enough words I think I'm just trying to say Education, Yay!!

We all have times when we want to say "you bought that piece of crap for what??" but we seem good at instead trying to educate and help, and that usually keeps people around long enough to find out on their own that maybe they didn't get the best deal the first time and the info not to make the same mistake twice..

Well since this is in a CL thread and probably won't be seen by most I better get it back on track of SW pachi education..So how about this thread about Arby's first Star Wars Pachinko to be put on ebay (probably the first one on US ebay) and that went for... Well why don't you read and find out..I think the second one went for half the price!!

    Sorry for rambling..

Thanks Stuey, and I completely agree with your thoughts. We have said here many times that a Pachinko machine is worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it. While we personally may not be able to justify paying $1,000 for a Star Wars machine, I know there are collectors and other enthusiasts out there with the budget to do so. We should be careful about our posts on such matters because most folks who are new to the hobby stumble across this site/thread while researching their new purchase on Google. That is how I discovered PachiTalk.

I have backed up and removed sentences from posts I was about to make when complaining about negotiations or shipping on a machine I was about to buy, or just bought. Just in case the seller checked us out. I usually tell the seller about the site, especially if they ask for more info on their machine.

I've been kicking around the idea of selling my Star Wars machine for some time. Poor thing just doesn't get used much. The warmup time is annoying to say the least. Problem is, if I sell it now, people will think it was the $125 machine that was on CL a few weeks ago and that I'm trying to turn a profit. Guess I will have to wait a little bit longer.

I think you would be fine listing now. There is definitely a fan base for your machine due to it's theme. Just from watching this thread, prices on that machine are all across the board. As with any type of sales, timing can be everything. Just a matter of listing when the right buyer is looking. With Craigslist, there is no fee, so it wouldn't cost anything to try.

Best of luck with the sale!!!

Yeah, I don't agree and really, who gives a f#@& what we think anyway?

It's your money, your machine - you do what the hell you want with it.

I've seen them go from everywhere from US$350 up to the previously mentioned $1000 (and sell).

Why wouldn't you have a crack at it, given this successful range???
