your machine should work with as few a a few hundred balls but you will quickly (withing a few seconds) run out of balls.. most vendors sell machines with 500 balls. still not enough.. i recommend at least a 1000 balls.. most machine will hold at least 1000 balls..

fill the back top hopper.. place a hand full or two in the front upper tray and give it a whirl

    hope that makes sense

post a fw pics of your machine
Here are a few pics. Once again game works perfect......Except balls are not ejected on a win? It seems like user error/reset button?? My Sankyo is old school no bells and whistles like this. Any help appreciated. The #1 light on back of machine is lit which is the empty ball tray maybe?? Thanks to all. Jeff

I’d remove the payout motor mechanism on the rear (right side); check for blockages. This machine has a payout “gear” that can get blocked easily with a rusty ball, or random obstruction. The payout motor design on these seems weaker and less reliable in general than other models.

Default Taiyo Apollo - need some guidance

Oh, my bad,I though this was about a Maturi Apollo 1 arepachi machine.

I don’t have this frame. Try to find the payout motor/mechanism, it’s usually removable. Also see if there’s a reset button somewhere; usually near the power switch. To reset, hold it down for 5 secs while powering it from off to on. That might clear any errors.

I think I see a reset button in your pics.... there’s an arrow pointing at it next to that yellow mark if I’m not mistaken.
