I'll just pop some links here into this thread in case they are of use for reference at all, saves you having to go search for them

First up, is the Star Wars manual, helpful to identify all the parts and gives close ups of the rear parts too

PachiTalk Research Center - Machine Manuals - Star Wars - PachiTalk

and of course, the Lumina Frame manual, in pdf format, just in case

PachiTalk Research Center - Machine Manuals - Lumina Frame Manual - PachiTalk

There are also links in the Research Centre on how to Semi and Fully Cyclic a lumina, but not sure if these are relevant for 'reverse engineering / undoing' as I've no idea what modifications are done to make these 'desktops' function but I presume fully cyclic but without all the ball tracks etc? Also cell swapping guides, let me know if you need the links

Its not a star wars cel but should give you the idea.

A side view and back view, When stripped of the speakers and additional boards it should look more like this

If you say the plugs are pink, I'll say they are pink

I guess one of yours has a plug in it for the speakers. If so, Just pull the plug out

Same with the bottom, You should have these 2 leads, Again, I guess one is plugged into the transformer board.

You might have to trace the wiring back from the black control box, as that is additional. Its either plugged into the circuit board, In which case disconnect it and plug the original leads back in. (all colour coded) or spliced into the loom. In which case, you need to seperate. I would leave this connected till you get shooter and balls, So at least the machine will still do something.

I am sending you a few balls to try and i will stick one in with them
I wouldn't go Dave rob dongle yet, Let's get it working first.
Then you will find out Dave rob dongle is a must.
Try to keep the cost down for now.

Did the seller give you a diagram of how to hook up a 24vac transformer to your "Desktop" Star Wars Cell ? I can see in one of your photos that the power module from the Sankyo Lumina Frame has been attached to the cell .

    Hello again

In my last post above, The first link I gave to the Star Wars manual, has lots of pics of the back of a normal machine,

    here's the link again

PachiTalk Research Center - Machine Manuals - Star Wars - PachiTalk

or are you looking for details of another area of the machine, or a layer under the boards perhaps?

Power up should be instant. BUT some have been known to take a while to power up if kept in a cold climate. My lumina was dreadful in winter. But a warm day it was fine.

Star Wars Cels can take a LOOOOOng time to power up. They got a TON of play on the parlors and the circuitry of that model just seems prone to needing a warm up.

take some pics of the back of the frame, And locate the 4 pink cables/sockets that join the frame and cel together. (both on the frame and cel You might have stuff plugged in to these already)
On the cel, have you removed the 2 speakers and the power supply unit board located in the top right next to the speaker. (the one with the two rows of 4 round capacitors)
takes these off and put them to one side. Also remove the 2 pieces of metal that held them in place.
The closer and clearer the picture the better, The easier it will be

Take a look at the pics of my frame on the first page of this thread. It shows the correct location of the PSU board.
Did the frame come with anything else? As I don't see the CR board or the payout board, as well as the shooter assembly. Oh or the wood surround that the whole thing fits into.
Again look back at the pic on the first page
