Classic Pachinko Machine Collection Book - completely scanned w/ English titles

Sometime back, I started a thread about the 'Pachinko Bible' that occasionally appears on eBay and put up some scans.

I've been meaning to follow it up with ALL the scans from the whole book for sometime, but have dragged my feet.

Well, finally did get around to it last week and the first 30+ pages are up on my site Gallery.

I have added in some very basic subtle English title captions to the pages as well, to make a few machine names clearer for readers.

To remind you : The book is published by Green Arrow Graffiti in 2000 and is out of print. It's entirely in Japanese, including machine titles, but it gives a great overview of the most collectable machines ranging from 1961 into the late 90's. There are 120 covered in depth, and each is given a class rating for how hard (or not) they are to obtain in Japan, circa 2000. Class A is the hardest, Class C the easiest. A yen figure is also attached for how much you would be expected to pay to buy said machine.

Without Japanese, it is a lot of just pretty pictures I guess. But even non-speakers can figure out that the bottom row of text in the examples I attached shows the Class rating (A, B or C) and the man-yen figure (ie. thousands of yen required to buy one back in 2000). In the double page example then (original PT thread above), one can see that Robo-Q is a class C machine (fairly common, relatively) and that it would cost about 40,000 yen (US$400 approx) back in 2000 to pick one up.

I saw this book on ebay about a month back. I was very interested to see what was inside of it. Thanks for posting these pages.

this is one of my favorites from the book. when a jackpot or whatever is scored, the earth "blows up" which means the 6 pieces of the globe expand outward. somewhere i've seen a picture of it exploded. looks like there's some LED lights around the center and other cool stuff. class A machine @ 100,000 Yen. Wonder what it is today? I always ponder how much would collectors over there pay for the great vintages we have here. Surely they're aware since anyone can access ebay and craigs. I see run-of-the-mill vintages on YJA for tens of thousands of yen so what would a power flash, roulette, super bang, arrange ball, etc. go for?

They know, but they are not prepared to step into international trading to get them. eBay Japan went bust for a reason (the only market they did so, to my knowledge).

Now if they were taken from here BACK to Japan, different story.
