    Default Identifying Machine

Just picked this up at a garage sale this morning. It is in pretty bad shape, lots of rust. The playing board is in pretty good shape tho, tulips are missing the metal things. I'll see what I can do with it, maybe parts for my other machine, but I do like the playing board. I still need to work on the other one that I posted and just abandoned ha. Anyways, does anybody know what model this is, thanks.

I tried uploading them but couldn't get it so here are links on tinypic

Vintage machines really do not have models. I have close to the same machine as yours and it is a 1976. I can not see what you are missing on your tulips, they seem fine. The back looks like your are missing a cover (easy fix) and you tray is broken, also easy fix. I think you have a really nice machine. Here is a picture of mine (not a great view though).

looks to be a nearly compleat machine to me..

the ball tray is broken.. and one of the covers is missing from the back but some clear plexi would fix that..

Uh. That back part that everyone says is just a cover... well it isn't that is the payout chute. So the bell is gone probably also along with all the overflow plates. (to redirect balls when the front tray is full). That may be an easy fix then again it could end up being a big pain. Either way you will also loose the payout bell. unless you hook up an electric one. (which just isn't the same.)

Your right on the chrome that is pretty rusty. It may be gone. Best bet would probably be sand it smooth and paint it.

Then again it is all up to you on what you want to do.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I just assumed there were models because the first one I posted, people told me it had a name and somebody even had the same machine. About the tulips, I thought there was a metal piece on the inside, again, just basing on the other machine.

Nice looking playfield. Pity about the rust and back side damages. I have a 1976 Sankyo machine that's very similar to that one but with with a different theme/playfield, but the frame with the light placement is identical. The red on the edge should be hopper empty with the amber on the top left being jackpot.

Looks like your missing the wiring and lights as well, by the way. The micro-switches seem to be present, so that should be a pretty simple fix.

Mind if I ask what kind of deal you got?

Hmm. after that picture it is hard to tell if those levers are actually there. I think I see them there but it is kinda hard to tell as each brand of tulip is different. Easiest way to tell is just feed a few balls through and make sure they open and close as they should.

Good news, the tulips are in working order, got a brush and did a quick clean up, ran some balls through and everything worked just fine. One thing I did notice is the bell either doesn't go off when jackpot is hit or is really faint. Doesn't really matter though, I saw there are a bunch of cleaning posts so hopefully I can get this cleaned up, I do like the playing field.

sankyo with metal ball tray 004.jpg here is what the back looks like with the cover and bell. The faint bell sound is the secondary bell that should ring when the top tray is too full and balls are diverted to the lower tray. It would be easy to fix by making a cover out of Plexiglass and bolting a bell to it. I have some parts in a box that may have a bell if you need one.

Only reason why you don't here it is because it is missing. The big open panel on the back of the machine there should be a bell attached to it. That is why you don't hear anything.

Oh I see, ya, when I was testing it the machine, I just temporary taped a plastic piece so that the balls would recycle once the jackpot is hit. Didn't know the bell was that close to the opening.
